Hello and welcome to my yumeshipping sideblog (more like oc x canon blog, but you get it), i made this blog to ramble about my love for Toshikazu Hazamada, using my OC as a self-insert. Actually i may even post about other F/Os and pairings of mine too...

Disclaimer that i'm strictly NON-SHARING towards Hazamada. So pleaaaase romantic doubles do not interact. Also keep in mind i'm anti-harassment, especially over fiction. i don't care what you enjoy in fiction as long as you keep in mind some things should not be replicated in real life. people call this proship but actually i don't like to use this label, i'm very neutral on this discourse (meaning i don't want to engage on it)

i know dnis don't really work but. pro-harassment; terfs; bigots; people with harmful paraphilias will be blocked on sight. this blog is preferably +16.

middle school hazayuka designs...! finally after... a few weeks... i'm finally posting again because at last i had at least one idea for a drawing. is art block finally over? no

anyways i thought that would be funny to draw. i don't know if i already mentioned this but Shakuyaku only moved to Morioh in 1996, when she entered high school, meaning she didn't even know about Hazamada's existence before this yesr. so this middle school design was literally made more just for funsies and also to imagine how her and Hazamada would look like.

though those two would've been x100 happier if they had met each other earlier oh my god..

both pictures are practically the same except the left one has some design notes. also being honest i had no idea what to do for Hazamada's uniform. Shakuyaku on the other hand. i went a bit crazy i loved that.

in Shakuyaku's case, it's partly because of her shyness. she doesn't got the enough courage to not even hold his hand in public. a smile at most, maybe? yes but nothing more than that…

but tbh the main point of this situation is that Shakuyaku never really understood much about romance: her knowledge comes almost entirely from the mangas she read (mostly shoujo) and i guess the movies her parents watched together when she was a kid. so to her it's something like "romance = physical affection is required". the issues is that she's not into physical affection… and even if she was, what guarantees Hazamada is into it too? what if he doesn't like it and rejects her? especially in public…

she's too embarassed to ask that. girl don't be afraid to read his mind… just this once,,,

not to mention that's also the part that Shakuyaku is fairly popular in school, a lot of girls would kill to be by her side… and like a good chunk of these girls desire to torture and kill Hazamada in many ways so maybe PDA could make this worse to him? so at least for her, it's better not to.

now, in Hazamada's case… i imagine he doesn't really enjoy being touched but… feeling his girlfriend's hands on him AND/OR his hand touching her? well… he's not opposed to the idea in this case… he just doesn't do that because, well, all reasons i listed before. yet, he probably at least held hands with Shakuyaku or wrapped an arm around her at least once when no one was looking (for example, in a cinema room or just in a crowd where everyone is too distracted to focus on something as irrelevant as a couple sharing physical affection). taking all the little chances he got, you know…

do both of them wish they could show affection to each other publicy? yeah,,,

🌧️: How do you two cheer each other up on a bad day?

well… for this one i'll try to use love language a bit because i think it's fitting… okay let's go!

when Hazamada is having a bad day, first of all Shakuyaku would ask him what's wrong and maybe strike a conversation if he allows (because of course, sometimes he just… won't feel like talking at all). even if the conversation works, she keeps. she either cheers him up with:

Quality Time: even better if they are at home instead of school, meaning there's more time to spend together. Shakuyaku would hand him everything she has such as movie DVDs/VCRs, board games, manga, etc. then spend the entire day doing all of these activities with him, also frequently taking breaks to ask if he is okay, perhaps bringing food or something to drink if he needs;

Acts of Service: Shakuyaku would offer herself to do some favors, such as cooking up a meal for him, spoil him (not rotten, but still spoil him), etcetera. couldn't think in many acts as you can see.

now when Shakuyaku is having a bad day, Hazamada does a similar approach: you know, asking what's wrong, striking a conversation, etc. even if she allows or not, he keeps going on, going for either:

Physical Touch + Words of Affirmation: it starts with simple touches with his fingers, running trough either slightly sensitive spots such as the back of her neck to her collarbone, or less sensitive spots like her shoulders. this touch evolves to touching with his hands, and then to an embrace, wrapping his arms around her body. along with the embrace, Hazamada starts to speak to her, trying to cheer her up saying how much he loves her, how he's lucky to have her and… okay as much as it's true, he can't stop himself from stuttering and trembling.

Quality Time: similar to Shakuyaku's manner of cheering him up, Hazamada also brings his stuff to lighten up her interest, they spend the time reading, watching anime/movies, talking for hours (when they have something in mind to talk lol), taking breaks when it is needed — giving more physical affection to her during these breaks and also bringing snacks for both, etc.

so umm, congratiulations anon you really got me with these questions, especially the PDA one.... not saying this in a bad manner, it's the opposite actually, i really enjoyed answering this ask c:

it's just that i never thought on these before and i spent a LOT of time thinking in how to answer, like: i KNEW the answer, but i didn't know how to write it down. turns out i just talked to my friend about this and we had like a considerably long conversation something like brainstorming i guess

wrote fanfiction as a little warm up this morning under like half an hour and decided to post it here. this work is also available in archive of our own and toyhouse.

that's what i'm pondering. looking closer i saw tumblr isn't obligating the age verification to use the app in general, but to look at "mature" blogs. when i looked into my following list, i saw that i only follow one mature blog so... yeah.

🎧 : What’s a song that reminds you of your f/o?

well surely Sasha by Yuzuhiko? reminds me of Hazamada (and Shakuyaku too) a lot,,, i think the meaning of the song is very up to interpretation but personally i think it's just about a guy obsessed with a girl who he knows that is actually a doll (probably the interpretation most people who listened to this song also had)

i really love the song, it was like already one of my favorite Vocaloid songs ever since the first time i heard it back in 2015 but after doing this correlation i started loving it even more..,,,

mainly there's the doll aesthetic/motif (?) of the song, and both Hazamada and Shakuyaku are also quite related to dolls too (Hazamada's stand is a mannequin and Shakuyaku is often stated to look like a ball-jointed doll, not to mention her Stand is also based off these). plus, Sasha — the doll in the song — is seen as "pure" according to the lyrics, also needing to be keep pretty and tidied up... woaw reminds me of someone don't you think (lyrics are from vocadb.net)

it is also mentioned Sasha is Russian, and haha wow guess what Shakuyaku also is... not exactly 100% Russian but a mix with Japanese too (especially because nationality-wise she was born in Japan)

also it's also mentioned that Sasha is a ""shy"" doll because she doesn't talk much to her owner (of course she doesn't it's a DOLL) and also reminds me of her since... well Shakuyaku is equally shy. did i base hazayuka off this song without realizing or something like that...

the protagonist reminds me of Hazamada too. again as i mentioned before the song is up for interpretation but it's OBVIOUS the protagonist is like a solitary guy that only has his doll as a companion (there's his mom too but she takes the doll away from him) to the point he becomes obsessed with said doll/girl. like. dude......

certainly Shakuyaku! ever since she saw Hazamada for the first time, she couldn't help but find him cute and lovely, so as time passed, her love for him grew even more instead of decreasing. during DIU, Shakuyaku was absolutely head over heels for Hazamada… she just knew how to hide as she had no idea how to express herself (and even if she could, poor girl was too shy to the point i think she would faint if he ever found out)

he found out btw because a CERTAIN guy named kishibe rohan read her out loud and included this fun fact
