Ciao to the Outside World
One thing that's hard to get used to when travelling is not being able to use social networks ALL THE TIME. Ya, occasionally you have wifi, but for the most part, if you don't have a super awesome data travel plan, you only get the chance to tell your family you're alive every few days or week or so. My iPhone broke and as shitty as that was for a week it kind of didn't matter because we were in the wilderness with no service anyways. I got to actually enjoy time with my best friend and organize things old school on a paper map and not really know where we're going. It's hella cool not feeling the need to update your blog or post on Instagram or tweet and just talk complete bs over a campfire. Learn how to put down your phone when you're travelling. Look around, take time to enjoy where you are now and appreciate the company you're in. Who know when you'll have it again! I had to say ciao to the outside world and home for a bit. I'll try and keep blogging here and there but all my pictures are on my old phone so maybe they'll make it upon day π
