I'm nagelsmann's second biggest hater (wouldn't wanna dethrone mats) and I wonder where the praise even comes from. Yeah he was a young coach and had success with a second tier team but he failed at bayern and the nt. He's bad at communicating, he has burned bridges with club legends, coaches and players, he's supposedly this strategy mastermind but ?? didn't even have a plan should it come to penalties?

Let’s be real, Mats has achieved a level of Nagelsmann haterism that none of us can reach 😂 I get what you mean though. He hasn’t been able to replicate that early success with Bayern or the NT. Idk, some coaches are best at managing underdogs—at punching up—and I feel like Nagelsmann really exemplifies that. Communication seems to be his biggest weakness, and that’s an essential quality in any coach. His work with both Bayern and the die Mannschaft have really exposed that. He’s burned quite a few bridges he wouldn’t have had to if he had just discussed his rationale for his decisions before going over people’s heads. Mats, Manu, and Toni Tapalović come to mind, but I’m sure there’s more I’m forgetting.

Don’t get me wrong, I won’t sit here and blame him for everything, but I feel like this team in particular had more in them than he was able to get out of them, if that makes sense.
