What happens or becomes of an old artist? 

No one really knows what they do anyway – if they live in a collective – and still do – and are still meandering through plodding around what is the art? Where is the freedom in it? Unconstructive ism – destructive-ism, dischordianistic vagabonds of the 20 years are now nearly 50 – but are they still artists? Or are they life-ist? Has life become their art when art was the life? Subsistence cannot be on paint and fire nor bread and clay, but dough makes a softer pillow than an easel and a home is not a stage. The art of life is a con and what most of them are, I have seen. Wastes of time. Flamboyant nincompoops that are so self-absorbed in their own existence, sex, drugs and music that they are autistic on anything else. Although they might be giants - what drives them is their need for crave – codependencies become trap doors alternative identities emerge like cigarette smoke from blunts. When one used to ask – what do you do – one would – and used to – proudly say – “I’m an artist” and be snotty about it. Now I think it means one is simply in denial of the consequences of commitment. Floating around – creating, mating, abating – seething, bleeding, reading. They aren’t poets – that’s our job. Very seldom paid. Emotionalists. Artists seem like flavored bubblegum. There’s really no point except the exercise – and as for the flavor – after a while it grows stale, and after all – there are dozens of flavors so one will never grow tired of bubbles - but its non-nutritive fat and gwar gum. And bad for the bones – but it gives us something to do when we die everyday, more sophistication. Shallow. Sophis stick action. My pen is never empty. And its not shallow – it’s a deep well of ink and substance the only thing is I’m still constrained by blueness. Little lines of David Edwards.

Why doesn’t anyone look at shoes anymore? 

A long time ago – you could tell a man by his shoes – the quality and cost status or how well his shoes were taken care of. What happened to that? Now a’days what is it? The quality cost/status of his cell phone? Values have changed. It went from head to toe – the back to head – hat to shoes, to phone – and for women, who knows what it is – hair/nails/purse/shoes – men really don’t have any tell tale standard. For all I know it could be tail – When did values change? And why did they? Did they change with the economy and stocks? With social media? With sociology? With the influx of a more aggressive media and the internet or its influence? What has the digital age done with Prince’s 1999? 2000-00 party over – its out of time – 20 years later – we’re still here – I’m still here – things have drastically changed. I had my first child after 40, got put in jail for civil rights and a bunch of crap for 5 years in a backwards state of VA. And now I’m fighting US Constitution Amendments – and politics – neither of which I like or enjoy – for whatever – for whatever point I’m trying to make besides the United States just sucks...

It’s in the numbers. How many, how much, how long, what time, etc is all we care about. What ever happened to quality vs cost and where are our values and how did they get so misplaced with this generation?

In 2000X Four Non Blondes came out with “What’s going on” in Bigger, Better, Faster, more – as if that wasn’t a sign of the times . . . yet what’s ‘new’ is still old and redone. The only thing truly new is technological and medical advancement (to some degree). 

 In a world where appearance was key – now its color and race and genetics when will it be chromosomal xy genetic. Xyz15  is dominant over xzy01 even though xyz has a Phd and is white with a 4.5 gpa  and an SAT perfect but xzy01 is black and blink and has to be chosen due to genetic superiority? Where is genetic racism? Geneticism? When do racist groups of like generations come in? When do albinos get to rule the world? Planet of the Apes was ahead made… how planet of the albino mensa reptilian extra chromosomal humanoids go to mars w/virgin mobile founder blah blah – what’s going?

Values have changed. It went from head to toe – the back to head – hat to shoes, to phone – and for women, who knows what it is – hair/nails/purse/shoes – men really don’t have any tell tale standard. For all I know it could be tail – When did values change? And why did they? Did they change with the economy and stocks? With social media? With sociology? How many friends you have – what you drive – your zip code, area code, decimal/comma in your salary. What formula your haircolor is, over how complicated it is to mix and how long it takes to make an appt in equation funk how long it takes to commute, what you ate for bkfst/lunch/dnnr

Perhaps people are becoming less and less in quality and more and more in quantity so the values are shifting to numbers of numbers until they nullify themselves out to zero80 v 81(me) I still get something akin to xy genes and peas....genetics.
