after a bout of nerves and self-consciousness, miles falls back. he gets a stern talking to by a few respective members of fahc and fakehaus.
what is done has been done for the best
though the mist in my eyes might suggest
just a little confusion about what Iâll lose
but if I started over, I know I would chooseâŚ
the fight continues to linger in milesâ brain. itâs been a couple of weeks since jeremy has come back and theyâve all made up and apologized, but it doesnât stop miles from thinking about it over and over and over again. he canât help but think of what adam said to him, what he really meant, how he really felt, and miles knows that deep down, itâs all true.
miles is a liability. heâs a distraction. heâs a ploy. heâs a trick. heâs useless. heâs careless. unnecessary, fights for the other team, heâs not one of them. so what in the hell is he doing? why is he sticking around? why are jeremy and adam even entertaining the thought that this can work out for all of them in the long run? why havenât they just told miles the truth yet? the end of this is inevitable, itâs around the corner, it can happen any time, and miles just has to be ready.
after waiting around for two weeks, he decides heâs just going to do it.
it starts slow - him, falling away from the guys. he does his best to make them think heâs okay for now, but still starts to pick up extra shifts and work overtime at the station. the money doesnât hurt (although jeremyâs been casually tossing out the idea of miles just ditching his apartment and alternating staying with them - as if that doesnât sting more, as if that wonât get him into more trouble or put them at risk or something worse) and miles does have some serious work to do that heâd backlogged recently due to their reunion with jeremy.
just thinking about that time breaks his heart. a time where he only had kyle to fall back onto, but he still couldnât express himself fully, lest he put all of jeremy and adamâs friends in danger. miles doesnât have a group of friends like that, he doesnât have a gang thatâs promised to stick with him until the end of time, no matter what. he has kyle, the only trustworthy person he knows, and heâs stuck in a precinct full of bigger crooks and thiefs than the ones theyâre âsupposedâ to be fighting.
the loneliness takes hold fast, but miles can be a pretty good actor once he puts his mind to it.
he starts denying invitations to adam and jeremyâs apartments. sporadically, at first, then uss the excuse that he has to stay home and get work done since they didnât like the fact that he was at the station all the time and couldnât get a real nightâs sleep. this determination goes further than his stubbornness, than the one he dealt with when he and adam fought - this will go on for as long as it needs to. hopefully, heâll just be transferred to another police station on another side of town, another part of california, anywhere just to stay away and keep them safe like heâs supposed to be doing.
miles goes out of his way to ensure that his apartment doesnât look like a homeless person broke in and started living there. he keeps up with cleaning, has real food in his fridge, does his laundry, and everything that he needs to do to create the illusion that heâs fine, totally and completely fine.
adam and jeremy notice when itâs starting to become a problem. miles stays as neutral as possible whenever he thinks theyâre going to confront him about it. but heâs doing it right, miles is doing just enough to make them think that everythingâs fine, that theyâre all fine, even though heâs pulling away faster than they know how to handle. itâs exactly what miles wants. soon, theyâll realize itâs what they want, too.
his routine is bland, boring, and his mind is a steady, numbing buzz that doesnât go away. he volunteers to do menial office work, as long as it keeps him off the streets of possibly running into any of them, and he knows that thereâs no way any of them are able to come and visit him at work. if heâs not out patrolling the streets with some free time to spare, or if heâs stuck at home doing paper work, who would suspect a thing?
well, some people start to suspect - more than just jeremy and adam.
a surprise visit from michael and jack at his apartment on a wednesday night is certainly not what he was expecting, but itâs what he gets.
it seems like everyone and their mother know how to break into his apartment, since miles had no idea anyone was even here until they open his supposedly locked front door and hurriedly stands from his couch to look over. michael storms in with rage while jack follows close behind, although not nearly as hostile as the former.
once the front door shuts with a resounding click, michael goes off. âlisten, detective, i donât know what your fuckinâ deal is, but you better get your shit together or weâre gonna have some serious problems.â
miles holds his hands out to the side, bewildered. âcan i ask why the hell you two broke into my apartment first?â
âdonât play stupid, luna,â michael growls, âyou know exactly what youâre doing and so do i, so does jack, so does every fuckinâ one of us except jeremy. because, for some reason, he thinks that you would never do something like this.â
his throat constricts at the statement. as dangerous as jeremy is, he does his best to see the good in everyone heâs assumed to consider a friend, or perhaps someone more. jeremy gives people chances. he probably shouldnât have, not with miles, but he did. damn him. âi really donât know what youâre talking about,â miles replies back, tone already irritated, âso now, if you donât mind, iâd like you both to get out of my apartment and let me get back to work.â
âmiles,â jack says softly, her sweet voice piercing through the intensity in the air that is michaelâs rage. she comes closer to stand beside michael, putting her hand on his shoulder, and miles waches as michael visibly deflates a bit just because of jackâs calming touch. âi donât know whatâs going on with you and jeremy and adam, but thereâs something. you should know by now that jeremy tells us almost everything. so when he tells us that youâve just been⌠drifting away, what else are we supposed to think?â
âgod, i donât know, that maybe iâm a working detective for the city that you guys cause havoc in on a daily basis?â miles snaps. michael immediately tenses up again, taking a step forward to retaliate milesâ words, but jackâs hand on his shoulder tightens and he stays still. âsome time apart isnât going to kill us. hell, it may even be better. iâm trying to help you guys out, so maybe some gratitude would be appreciated.â
âgratitude? you want gratitude?â michael questions, voice getting higher. âyeah, weâre so fuckinâ glad that jeremyâs sulking around the goddamn base like he lost his puppy. weâre real thrilled that he and adam  can barely hold a conversation without it being real fuckinâ clear that all they wanna do is talk about you! but they canât because youâre here, beinâ a goddamn dickhead, and they miss you!â
milesâs jaw clenches and he can feel himself grinding his teeth. the impending headache isnât far away, but miles stands his ground. âiâm working,â he levels stiffly. âwhat i do in my own, personal time is no oneâs business but mine.â
âyou made it our business when you started fuckinâ around with those two,â michael hisses.
anger flares in his chest. miles wants to lash out wildly and scream that no, michaelâs wrong, he didnât want this - he didnât want the two men he happened to fall head over heels for were both in the most popular gangs of los santos while heâs sworn his duty to protect the same city. he never asked for this and he never would. but itâs what heâs got and heâs got to deal with it in his own goddamn way, whether itâs to dig himself in deeper or to start climbing out. miles will make his own choice.
jack starts carefully tugging michael back towards the door. âc'mon, michael, letâs go,â she softly urges, hand moving down to grab his bicep so she can move them both. âtheyâll figure it out one way or another, we canât do anything else.â
michael huffs out a frustrated breath, eyes still locked with miles, whoâs standing still right near his couch, eyes unwavering. michael looks like he wants to say more, but all he does is shake off jackâs hand and storms out of milesâ apartment without one more glance back. jack is the one who does look back at miles, but his expression doesnât change.
the door falling shut behind her feels more like a goodbye than anything else.
another twisted turn of events brings bruce greene and miles luna to the same coffee shop right near the precinct.
miles is always a bit sparse with his meals lately. since he doesnât smoke, heâs been using coffee to supress his appetite when he canât bring himself to even think about making a meal. on overnight/overtime break, miles heads to the 24-hour coffee shop and takes a seat at one of the small tables with a sigh.
âmind if i sit here?â a voice asks above him while miles fiddles with his phone. before miles can even pick his head up to answer that yes, he does mind, he just kind of wanted to be alone, but thank you, his voice falls him as his eyes meet bruceâs. âdetective luna,â bruce greets with a nod and a tip of his coffee cup, similar to milesâ.
âwhat do you want?â miles sighs, as if thatâs all heâs got left in him. heâs been working far too hard recently - with overtime, late nights, lack of sleep, minimal eating, plus another long list of issues - that he doesnât have the time or energy to call in for back-up since the leader of fakehaus is sitting right across from him.
bruce takes a careful sip of his hot beverage before he answers. âwhat do i want,â he repeats back, letting out a sigh of his own. âgod, loaded question, donât you think?â
âcould be simple,â miles replies with a shrug, âand quick. so you can⌠get going where you gotta go.â
âsimple answers are always nice,â bruce nods in agreement. his fingertips tap against his cup and he barely gives milesâ time before he confronts him about it. âhereâs a simple question thatâs looking for a simple answer: what the fuck did you do to adam and jeremy?â
bruceâs voice is about as neutral as it can be, but still threatening nonetheless. this chills miles more than michael and jack breaking into his apartment, although that was already pretty messed up. bruce found him (followed him?) into a popular place and miles is sure he already has several different ways of escaping, if need be.
âiâve just been working a lot,â miles confesses, gesturing to his blue uniform. ânow, if youâll excuse me, i was enjoying my lunch break alone.â his eyes trail back to his phone, but it doesnât stop bruce from talking.
âthereâs no excuse for a child whoâs stuck in a manâs body, trying desperately to figure out what the hell heâs doing in a world like this because he knows he doesnât fit in,â bruce snaps, although his voice is still clear as day. âhave you ever considered the fact that adam - maybe even jeremy - doesnât want you to fit into this world? itâs dangerous, miles, and you can get hurt.â
âiâm a detective for the los santos police department,â miles pointedly states, âi think i know i can get hurt.â
bruce scoffs. âyeah, but you idiots have rules. out there, there are no rules. thereâs nothing. there are only two things you can do: fight or die.â he pauses for a moment, letting miles sink it in as he pretends to stare and scroll through his phone. âi know adam wants to fight. iâve known that guy for more than half of my life and he may seem like a lot of things, but i know adam is a fighter. he wants to fight for me, for our team. he wants to fight for jeremy and his team. and for some inane reason, he wants to fight for you, and what the three of you all have.â
milesâ eyes shoot up to meet bruceâs, even though he tries to keep himself on the defensive side of it all. he opens his mouth to speak, but no words come out. thereâs so much he wants to say, how to explain to bruce how much of a bad idea this all is and how itâll blow up in everyoneâs face. thereâll be too many people telling adam and jeremy i told you so like a bunch of children. itâll hurt, deep down to the core, and itâll take a long time.
miles doesnât know how long heâll last through that time.
âiâm more of a danger than anyone else,â miles comments. itâs meant to be a broad, wide-variety statement, and bruce nods in agreement. this is a discussion thatâs been had several times and miles knows that everyone would agree with him - itâs just easier that way.
âhow about you let adam and jeremy make that decision instead of making it for them, hm?â bruce questions, tapping the table twice with his knuckles before he pushes himself back up. âno matter what you think, itâs not your choice to decide whatâs good or bad for them. trust me,â brue chuckles lightly, âiâve tried for years to tell adam what to do, and look at him now.â
the soft jab makes the corner of milesâ tug for a fleeting moment, but he still doesnât say anything. bruce doesnât either. heâs said his piece and now heâs gone, letting the small jingle of the coffee shop be the last noise of bruce greene for the night, knowing he wonât be able to find him if he tried.
throughout the next week and a half, miles thinks a lot about this. but⌠at the end of the day, whatâs there to think about when the people youâre looking for answers from arenât around?
miles texts their group message with a simple come over and itâs barely fifteen minutes before theyâve arrived.
the second miles opens the door, jeremy crashes in like a wave and completely engulfs miles in his arms as tight as he can. adam, not too far behind, gets a better angle to get into the hug, but they stand still like that for a while. it feels too good, too natural to be standing here like this with the people that matter the most.
the nightâs long and filled with soft sounds and all the right words, but not the ones at the time. they donât want this to sit and fester and stew, not again.
âtalk to us, miles,â jeremy pleads after all is said and done. his voice is tender, muffled due to the way his mouth is pressed to the dip of his neck towards his collarbone. âdonât let this happen again. tell us what youâre feeling, thatâs what weâre here for.â
miles turns his head to press his nose into the colored locks. âiâm sorry,â is all he can whisper. âi donât know what to say. i fucked up.â
âwe all fuck up,â adam tells him, running his left hand up and down the softer parts of milesâ stomach. âbut that doesnât mean we canât fix it. at least try and talk it out before you attempt to leave us again.â
itâs supposed to be funny, part of adamâs dry sense of humor, but it only makes miles nauseous. âiâm sorry,â he whispers again, voice cracking.
âso are we,â jeremy says, his body starting to relax and fall into a deep sleep.
adamâs not too far behind. miles feels both of their soft breathing against his skin. sleep comes easy for him this time around. thereâs still the small, tiny inkling in the back of his brain, but itâs quelled for now, thanks to his boys.
tomorrow is a new day.
âŚthe same joy, the same sadness each step of the way
that fought me and taught me that friends never say

Do you know if we'll be seeing any more j/a/m anytime soon?
anytime soon (like soon as in this week), thereâs no promises, but i certainly will be writing more j/a/m in the future!
i typically write them in the fahc/fakehaus scenario and sometimes itâs difficult to think of more settings/scenes to write them in without repeating others/overdoing it. i definitely want to write more of them, though.
if anyone has any suggestions about fahc/fakehaus ideas, or even just non-au ideas, please feel free to send them my way! sometimes iâm not so inspired because i personally canât think of any good ideas, but iâm happy to hear some!
- one of the main reasons jeremy left the east coast is because it became too dangerous, even for him. there are friends that he has there that he still keeps in touch with, but the crime was never for the right reasons and they were always too personal. things like sending death threats to his family about how if their son keeps acting up, theyâll catch him and start mailing different parts of his body to their house. he knew his parents never wanted to leave there, so once he made enough money, he kept them in the east coast but bought them the house they deserve where theyâre safe
- he gets contacted by some of his old friends and crew members, saying that they need his expertise sniping because theyâre dealing with something big, something real big and they canât do it alone. while people in the east may be rough as all hell, theyâve never seen anything this big before and theyâre not prepared. for the sake of his pride for where he came from, heâs going back to help, but miles and adam donât like it at all
- theyâve heard stories about how dangerous it can be over there, how much worse itâs gotten from other sources and from jeremy himself. itâs not going to be safe and itâs not going to be easy, so they donât want him to go. but of course, jeremyâs still going whether they really like it or not. he doesnât want to make them upset, he loves his boys, but this is something he feels like he has to do
- even geoff is worried, especially doesnât like the idea of jeremy going by himself. he offers to have michael or ryan go with him, but jeremy insists that this needs to be something he does on his own. he doesnât want everyone else to get caught up in it, especially his crew. everything on the east where heâs from is going to be a personal matter, so he doesnât want them to know about the people he cares about because theyâll use it against him for sure
- itâs the night before jeremy leaves and of course, heâs spending it with miles and adam, who are moping around at the fact that jeremyâs leaving and they donât know how long heâll be gone for

- it's the night before jeremy leaves and of course, he's spending it with miles and adam, who are moping around at the fact that jeremy's leaving and they don't know how long he'll be gone for
"you really can't make, like, a guestimate on how long this is all going to take?" miles asks, watching jeremy's pack a mix of clothes and weapons. he's certainly more of a worry wart than adam, but he's just more expressive about it, whereas adam will sit in silence and brood.
jeremy just shrugs, trying to keep this all lighthearted so they don't fret over him even more than they already are. "you can never tell how long a job is going to take, babe. it takes as long as it takes, until it gets done."
adam, who hasn't said much of anything ever since he got there, sighs and mumbles, "i still don't like that you're going alone. it's not safe."
"and it won't /be/ safe if i bring anyone with me, especially you," jeremy explains. "you know that. you mean something to me and the second they notice even a little bit of that, they'll do everything in their power to get you so it will get to me. and i refuse to risk that."
"i could make some calls to their police down there, maybe give 'em a warning about the people who are messing with you?" miles tries.
"the cops over there are the most crooked i've ever met," jeremy says. "if anything, that'll just make it worse."
the room is silent as jeremy finishes up packing. when he turns to look at his boys, miles is resting his head on adam's lap with his eyes closed while adam stares out the wall-sized window looking over los santos. they're upset and worried and jeremy knows it, but he also knows that they just want him to be safe. he wants the same, which is why he's doing this in the first place.
he crawls onto bed, the movement jostling miles enough to open his eyes and to make adam look at him, too. "please don't worry about it," jeremy says softly. "it'll be over before you know it."
"we're going to worry regardless, so that's a silly suggestion," miles huffs. it makes jeremy smile a little bit at his attitude--one of the many things that he loves about miles.
"it's stupid that i can't go with you. we could work something out," adam tells him. jeremy's smile grows--adam's persistence and need to be the protector is one of the many things that he loves about /him/.
"let's just take tonight to be together, alright?" jeremy moves miles first, gently pushing him onto his back and leaning over to pepper kisses across his chest, neck and face. miles is wearing one of jeremy's tank tops which hangs on him a little bit, but it always makes the heat in jeremy's chest stir with how good he looks in his clothes.
miles puts his hands on jeremy's shoulders to hold him closer, but still uses his smart mouth to reply, "you can try to distract me all you want, but that won't stop me from worrying."
jeremy chuckles against his jawline before giving it a quick nip and sitting up. "not trying to distract you. trying to touch you." he turns to adam, who's watching the two of them with soft eyes. jeremy leans over to give his freckled nose a sweet kiss, trying to coax him closer. "c'mon, babe," he whispers.
their night is long. jeremy makes it a point to take it slow, to make it feel like it lasts forever, to make sure that he touches each and every part of miles and adam's bodies. he'll miss hearing their voices, the sweet noises that they make when jeremy kisses, touches and holds them, but he has a responsibility to make sure everyone he loves is taken care of.
they're sleeping when jeremy carefully crawls out of bed to shower and get dressed. geoff's getting one of the b-team members to fly him out there and he's got to meet them at the airport within the hour. as he's getting dressed, he sees adam getting up out of the corner of his eye and immediately head his way.
"go back to sleep, baby," jeremy whispers before adam completely envelopes him in his arms. he squeezes tight and pulls back, cupping jeremy's face and kissing him like his life depends on it. jeremy kisses him back with all he's got, his heart aching at how this feels like a goodbye kiss, but he refuses to let it.
when adam pulls back, he mumbles, "fuckin' call us when you get there, and every goddamn night, dooley, or i'll fly out there and make you."
"i will," he immediately agrees.
adam lets go and jeremy follows him back to the bed, unable to leave before he kisses miles all the same. he feels bad waking him up, but miles gladly accepts his feverish kiss and mimics the same sentiment that adam demanded, "call us or else i'll send the whole police force after your ass."
"i will," jeremy repeats.
a few more kisses before jeremy forces himself to leave. this won't take long; he'll make sure of it.

fake ah crew jeremy dooley/fakehaus adam kovic/detective miles luna (also known as j/a/m!!!)
- jeremy and adam try to keep this relationship with miles a bit of a secret as much as they can once they realize they actually like him. they mostly want to keep him away from their respective crews. even though gavin and michael met him and insisted that the two take miles home and âshow him a real good time,â their good times may have happened again, and again, and again. enough times where jeremy finally brings in up after theyâve come home from an extended, but wonderful weekend and mumbles, âweâre in pretty fuckinâ deep, arenât we?â adam just makes a noise of approval, although itâs a bit sad.
- when the crews find out, thereâs a meeting. and itâs long, itâs real fucking long. for a majority of the meeting, it was just jeremy, adam, bruce and geoff; they briefed their respective crews about whatâs going on and that theyâre handling it. and when bruce and geoff finally spoke with the the two of them alone, they sound like parents who say theyâre not mad, theyâre just disappointed, and that makes it so much worse. âis there any way that we can talk you two out of this?â geoff asks, arms crossed. they know what the right answer is, but adam is the first to shake his head no. jeremyâs still relatively new, so heâs more hesitant to say no, but his affirmation is similar to adamâs.
- âadam,â bruce sighs, ready to lecture, but adamâs having none of it. âno, bruce--let me just have this. please? iâm smart, jeremyâs smart,â he explains, âmiles is smart.â both geoff and bruce flinch at the name, have only been referring to him as detective luna since then. âwe know what weâre getting into just as much as he knows what heâs getting into. i wouldnât be doing any of this, not even with jeremy, if i knew i didnât feel safe and smart and confident about it. you know that about me, bruce. so please... let me have this.â
- bruce only gives geoff a quick look before shrugging and sighing; heâs put so much trust and confidence in adam since before he can remember, so he has no reason to argue with him. but geoff isnât done. he points a stern finger at jeremy and instructs, âif you fuck this up, then youâre fucked. period, no negotiating, no begging, no pleading, no redemption--fucked. do you understand me?â jeremy doesnât hesitate to answer yes.
- theyâre quick to call miles and invite themselves over before miles has a chance to say no (not that he would, anyway). they have celebrating to do.
@funhaustagram look itâs not my fault that Iâm really into the idea of miles being really awkward and unsure about it at firstââYou guysâI mean youâre both very attractive people and like, holy shit James this is hard enough to process with your shirt ON, but youâre /married/.ââ but then he gets into it because they /want/ him and heâd be an idiot to ignore that.
Cut to Miles and Elyse teaming up on James because Miles and Elyse are both more the type to take control and James is like, just happy to be there. Elyse likes watching the way Jamesâ fingers press into the skin of Milesâ hips and the way Miles can move James around the bed easily. She likes how much Miles makes them laugh and she especially likes the feel of Milesâ beard on her thighs.
But even more than that, when they fall asleep Elyse is just really pleased about the way James sleeps with his face tucked into Miles neck and how Milesâ fingers are resting on her hip, flexing every once in a while as he dreams.
although he was extremely hesitate about this whole thing (mostly for the sanctity of their marriage, but that went out the window months ago), he still wants to treat them the same way he'd treat anyone else he was in a relationship with.
immediately he pales at the thought--that's what this is, right? a relationship? they're all dating, right?
miles tries to snap out of it; there's no time to have an existential crisis when their plane is going to land in austin at any minute and they'll be at the office before he knows it.
they're staying for the weekend, so miles plans a very extensive, very elaborate all-day saturday date that includes going hiking, making lunch together at his apartment, playing video games before he takes them out for dinner and drinks. he wanted to go a bit more over the top, but kerry told him to keep it relatively simple for the first "real" date.
when saturday comes around, everything goes exactly according to plan. well, except:
- miles fell in the lake when they went hiking and ruined his phone
- making lunch ended up turning into going to his phone carrier with james and elyse and picking up torchy's tacos on the way back to his apartment
- his VR headset continued to malfunction before deciding to completely shut off
- the restaurant he called a reservation for ended up never really writing it down and so the wait ended up being over two hours, so they went to a local bar and went to town on some appetizers and many, many drinks
when they all finally get back to the apartment for their night, miles completely deflates. "I'm sorry that I took you two on the absolute worst date in the history of all dates."
of course, elyse and james aren't having any of it. they immediately push him towards the bedroom, onto his back on the bed, and crowd around him to hold. "if by the absolute worst you mean the absolute best, then yes you did, miles," elyse tells him.
"but... everything went wrong," he frowns.
"nothing went wrong, idiot," james playfully berates. "we spent the entire day with you. that's all we wanted and we got it."
"but--I--" miles stutters, getting cut off by soft shushes by both of the willems's.
"here, let's round out the end of this date perfectly," james smirks, trailing down miles's body as his fingers begin to nimbly work on the buttons of his shorts.
miles swallows but has no time to verbally respond with elyse grabbing his chin and mumbling a quick, "agreed," before capturing miles's lips against hers, mimicking the moan he beautifully lets out.
he should've assumed nothing was going to be "ideally perfect," dating two (married) people, but fuck, this is perfect for them.
this is justâŚâŚ. a mess. itâs probably kind of shitty and it feels like nothing is really going on, but i couldnât get it out of my head. itâs sort of like an introduction with a lot of exposition and nothing really happens. i blame @thilesluna.

how the hell did these three meet, anyway?
if weâre gonna go back to the beginning, then weâll go back. it seems like it was a long time ago, but in reality itâs been about 6 months since this all started (miles is the only one who says 7 because of the month they spent flirting at the bar, but jeremy and adam disagree).
right, soâspeaking of the bar, it was where they all met.
wait, okay, letâs go back a little bit further. to when jeremy and adam met.
which was also at a bar.
but this barâs different. this bar is made for criminals like fahc and fakehaus, combined with a handful of other gangs that they sort of get along with as well as many other gangs that they donât. itâs no secret that both fahc and fakehaus run los santos, but their policies, along with a select few other crews, are a bit different than a lot of the other brutes.
if they can help it, fahc and fakehaus donât kill innocent people. bottom line. no witnesses, no civilians on the streets, no one who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. theyâll go out of their way to make sure the people who donât deserve it are safe.
they try not to kill cops. it sounds silly, but theyâre all practically marksmen at this pointâthey know where to shoot that wonât kill, but definitely stall. theyâve got snipers for a reason. and those who arenât sure about their shots, well, they donât shoot; simple as that. thereâs quite rarely anyone who canât shoot, but this rule is for instances like when someone doesnât feel like theyâre on their top game, whether theyâre sick or nervous. they need absolute confidence and both geoff and bruce arenât afraid to tell their crew no.
there are only two other crews that also follow this rule; blood money, a group of four girls who look too small to be harmful but can easily take out the best if they have to, and a gang that calls themselves the b-teamâthey work relatively close with fahc, so geoff instilled this rule and they donât hesitate to follow it.
bruce and geoff go way, way backâbruce has been in los santos all his life with adam right by his side. when geoff came around and slowly started to learn about the inner circles of this life, he never failed to hear about bruce and adam. he wanted to start something here in los santos, he really did, but he didnât have the hold that these two already had.
they met in a strip club, of all places, but it was for business. another crew (thatâs no longer in ls) wanted to hold a meeting and geoff was working odd jobs at the time. of course, bruce and adam were there, and geoff kept a watchful eye on them. he wanted to see how they worked, how they managed their team, how they were just getting by with the two of them when geoff couldnât even find one other person who was willing to join.
a lot of it was silent, long looks, short nods and small, but noticable facial expressions and twitches. bruce did all the talking while adam stood right next to him, arms crossed, broad and burly as he stuck his ground. to sum it all up, they got work done. these two got what they wanted and they did it well.
geoff had a moment to talk to them after the meeting was over and the former crew told everyone to enjoy themselves at the club. he made it short and sweet, said if they ever needed a third guy to help out, heâd be willing. bruce was friendly, but also professional. he accepted geoffâs phone number, told him heâd let him know, and the two were on their way.
the next day, geoff left los santos. he hopped around for a bitâliberty city, vice city, anywhere city, you name it. he felt a little lost, but then he met jack in san andreas and it went uphill from there.
it took some time to build up the crew he has, but goddammit, if geoff isnât proud of the work heâs doneâof the work theyâve all done. when they made their way back to los santos, bruce and adam were still there, but their crew got a bit bigger, too. it mustâve been almost fifteen years since the two saw each other, but when they ended up at the same bar with their respective members, bruce immediately approached geoff and held his hand out.
âgeoff ramsey,â he greets confidently, a small smile on his face, âgood to see you again. itâs been a long time.â
the fake ah crew hasnât seen geoff warmly greet almost anyone (except for jack and griffon), but he doesnât hesitate to put his drink down, stand up from his stool and gladly shake bruceâs hand in return.
âbruce greene,â geoff replies in return, âlikewise, my friend. good to see you still around.â
âthis city couldnât get rid of me if it tried,â bruce grins. âso, are you back for good? or are you still hopping from city to city?â
geoff makes an âehhâ noise, shrugging playfully and sliding his hands in his pockets. âall that travelinâ gets old. weâll probably stick around here.â
when bruce takes a peek over geoffâs shoulder, he sees an interesting group of people in his company. he recognizes jack immediately; has heard a lot of stories about her (and geoff) and thereâs no mistaking her. heâs only heard a few things about the rest of them, though, and theyâre all looking back at him unwaveringly. good, bruce thinks.
ânice to hear,â bruce nods. âwell, it was nice running into you, ramsey. iâm sure weâll cross paths sooner rather than later. iâm sure weâll all be mingling tonight, but stay in touch.â
â'course,â geoff agrees. âhere, let me buy you a drink.â
their night is long and the two crews do end up mingling, as bruce said, and this is where adam and jeremy met. adamâs usually the strong, silent type, but there was something about jeremy that made him burst out laughing unexpectedly several times. heâs so used to bruce and james and elyseâs corny jokes that he never really reacts all that much. but jeremy truly made him laugh and, well, thatâs kind of hard to do. itâs cliche and itâs silly, but it went from thereâjeremy joked his way into adamâs head, his cell contacts, his passenger seat, the seat across from him at a restaurant, his bed, and his stupid heart.
itâs after the second time that jeremy leaves their penthouse in the morning (the walk of shame doesnât exist in jeremyâs worldâheâs proud to strut out of that place, sporting marks and hickies and scratches and ruffled hair while adam shuts the door behind him) that lawrence asks what he sees in jeremy.
adam shrugs and replies with a soft, âheâs funny,â before taking a sip of his coffee that matt prepared for him as he works to make their ritual sunday breakfast.
âgod, kovic, if i knew it was that easy to sleep with you, i wouldâve done it a long time ago,â james smirks.
âtoo bad youâre not funny,â adam replies back, causing an uproar in their kitchen with laughs and cries of disbelief.
when jeremy gets back to their penthouse, he gets the same question from michael and gavin. theyâre much more pestering than fakehaus was being, but jeremy feels like itâs easy to brush them off and answer with a simple, âheâs nice. unlike you clowns.â and cue the similar uproar.
it escalates from there. of course, thereâs nothing normal about this criminal bound relationship, but they make it work.
and then thereâs miles.
when they met miles, adam thought it was a good idea to join the lads downtown to do some bar hopping. these kids make him feel old sometimes, but they can certainly be enjoyable at the right moment. jeremy makes it more bearable since he evens out the craziness that is team nice dynamite, so adam doesnât mind standing there with a beer in one hand and his other near the small of jeremyâs back.
âiâm gonna grab another round, iâll be right back,â adam tells jeremy, and even though michael and gavin are talking his ear off, he nods in response and glances back as to watch him go.
just as adam pays for their beers and goes to grab them, heâs roughly bumped into from behind, causing his arms to jerk forward and knock all of the beer bottles over, practically dumping them onto the bar. now, adam is pretty calm and quiet guy, but he can become quickly irritated at the drop of a hat (or in the case, the drop of four goddamn beers that he just paid for).
he turns around in a haste, hands already balled into fists, but he hears fast and erratic apologizes before he can react. âsorrysorrysorry, oh my god, iâm so sorry,â the guy says, immediately putting his hands up in defense, âiâm sorry, someone just, like, shoulder-checked me and it made me bump into you and i made you dump all your beers and iâm super, insanely sorry.â
it sounds like heâs talking a mile a minute and adamâs hands relax before he fully realizes it. when he gets a good look at the guy, adam furrows his eyebrows at him and he doesnât know what it is, but he⌠doesnât feel the need to be mad at this guy. he sounds genuine and honest and he still keeps talking. âplease, justâlet me buy your next round? to make up for it, god, iâm so sorry.â
adam takes a deep breath and shakes his head, âitâs⌠fine. itâs not your fault, it was an accident.â
âno way. iâi mean, it was an accident, but iâll buy your beers to make up for them. iâm soââ
âsorry. youâre sorry, i got it,â adam says, unable to hide the small smile that curls in the corner of his mouth.
the guy moves around adam and quickly gets the attention of the bartender, reordering the four beers that theyâre currently cleaning up. he quickly drops down some cash before adam can even think to move and before he knows it, the guyâs holding two of the beers and looking at adam expectantly. âhere, let me, like, follow you to your friends so nobody drops anymore of⌠anything.â
adam opens and closes his mouth for what feels like a full minute before he just complies, grabbing the other two beers and heading back towards the guys. as he approaches, jeremyâs already looking at him with a raised eyebrow, but a smile.
âwhoâs your new friend, adam?â michael asks lewdly, wiggling his eyebrows as he leans on the table towards the two.
âum,â adam starts, glancing over at the guy as he fills in the circle around the high top theyâre standing at, âthis isâŚâ
âmiles,â he fills in happily, placing the beers down in front of michael and gavin with a welcoming grin, âiâm assuming these are for you guys. i just bumped into adam here and knocked over the first four beers that he bought, so i bought him four more to make up for it.â
the lads nod and adam hands jeremy his beer, whoâs eyes are flicking between adamâs confused facial expressions and milesâs warm and open eyes. âinteresting,â jeremy comments before taking a swig of his beer.
the night goes on and miles doesnât leave their table, but none of them really want him to. he makes them all laugh, heâs charming, comes up with one-liners like no oneâs business, and both gavin and michael make it a point to toss out the fact that miles was giving both adam and jeremy some up and downs when they thought they werenât looking after miles heads off to the bathroom.
âbullshit,â jeremy chuckles, shaking his head, âthereâs no way you can prove that.â
âthereâs only one way to find out,â gavin smirks.
when miles returns, gavin immediately starts up the game 'shag, marry, killâ for him. quickly, miles replies, âbut⌠thereâs four of you? thatâs not fair to leave someone out.â
gavin waves it off, âleave out whoever you want, doesnât matter. just a quick game, yeah? first answers that come to mind, c'mon.â
they watch him stutter a lot, rub the back of his neck (which causes the bottom of his plaid shirt to ride up where both jeremy and adamâs eyes fly to in an instant), before timidly answering, âi mean, i canât make up my mind about a couple of the options, so i donât wanna, y'know, give uncertain answers.â
âjesus, alright,â michael groans before pointing a thumb over to the two suddenly quiet gang members, âwhich one of these do you wanna fuck and which one do you wanna marry? 'cause youâre not fuckinâ or marryinâ me or gavin, so just get it over with already.â
in the dark bar, both adam and jeremy can see the tint of pink that rises on his cheeks before nervously asking, âcan i plead the fifth?â
to this day, both adam and jeremy like to tease miles about how awkward and nervous he was that night at the bar, but he shrugs and comments, âcan you blame me? two buff, smokinâ hot hunks are standing right in front of me and iâm expected to not be a weirdo? very unlikely.â
there were many, many, many talks about what this all was, especially when they finally found out that miles was a cop. he tried to hide it from them for a long time, but he dramatically underestimated their criminal history and how fast they could find out. jeremy and adam waited as long as they could, wanting to let miles tell them on his own, but it came to a point where miles would ignore them for hours and days without letting them know where he was and what he was doing.
their only source was the news, when the lspd would get in a massive shootout with one of the worse crews, and they assumed the worst. the day after the shootout and they havenât received any call or text, they made their way to milesâs apartment. it wasnât that hard to break in, and when they did, they saw miles posted up on the couch with a bunch of fast food littered across the coffee table in front of his couch. the tvâs on, but miles was passed out. in between the containers and bags of food were pain killers, bandages, and antibotic gel.
the two worked diligently to clean up, carry miles to his bed and lie with him so he can finally get a good nightâs sleep.
when miles woke up surrounded by jeremy and adam, he confidently remembered that he had never felt safer.
nothing about this insane ârelationshipâ that they have going on should work at all. there are many, many components fighting against this, but they do their best to get by.

hoarse âgood morningâs whispered in the soft dawn light, hands clumsily finding each other through the haze of sleep
sprawled out on the couch together, marathoning so-bad-theyre-good sci-fi movies, flicking popcorn at each other to try to catch in their mouths at commercial breaks
dancing on hardwood floors in fuzzy socks, catching one another when they slide too far (the tall one stopping to argue- âyouâre wearing my socksâ âno iâm notâ âthey come up to your knees!â â⌠that proves nothingâ)
curled under a shared blanket on the couch, watching scary movies far later than advisable, clinging tighter to one another at each jumpscare

Hello all! So, a while back I opened commissions, but I thought Iâd make another post now that I am free for the summer starting June 10. I would love to write for some of you guys, so keep reading if youâre interested, and maybe reblog to boost this since Iâm keeping it off my main this time!! <3
What I will write:
Shiphaus. Plain and simple. Any pairing/group of your choice. I follow RTâs rules for RPF, and I have some rules of my own as to what I will not write (though some of these are flexible). I can write a member (or members) of FH with a member of RT (ex. Geoff, Jon, Miles, etc) â just talk to me and weâll see how comfortable I am with writing said person!
Check out the tags page on my blog for some references to get you familiar with how I write. If youâre on mobile, hereâs my tag for prompted works, and hereâs my tag for original works.
I will write NSFW and SFW alike.
What my commissions can do for you:
I love writing for free. I do it every day with series like Immortal and Fiji, and the occasional prompt that I work on when I have time (though that time is now expanding due to summer!). Commissions will provide an opportunity for you to show your support in return for a polished, revised work that I put some serious heart and brain power into. Iâm not saying I donât already do this, but when thereâs money and expectation involved, I kick things up a notch.
What you can do for me:
Pricingâs a bitch, but here we are anyway. Essentially, itâd be great for you to come to me with a prompt (loose or strict) in mind and a price thatâd you like to go for. I like writing, so Iâm going to try and give you a real bang for your buck (itâs up to you whether or not we make that literal). However, here is a basic lineup of how I thought the pricing could work:
$1 per 750 words, up to $5
Honestly I just think the 1.5k-word mark is a real sweet spot for shorter writing, so $2 for that may work for you!
$5+ will be negotiable
Iâd love to write a 2 or 3 chaptered work for you if thatâs what floats your boat, or if you just want me to write a longer, more fulfilling oneshot (4k+), then this would be the range for you!
Writings of your own can be exchanged for my writing!
I would love to do a commission swap with somebody!
So thatâs basically it! Message me if youâre interested/considering, or have any questions, and we can work something out. Commissions will be accepted through PayPal or Venmo only. Thanks for reading!
Hello all! Iâve been thinking about doing this for a little while, but I just now decided to actually do something about it! So, as the graphic suggests, I am opening up writing commissions. Thatâs right. Iâm doing this to give people the chance to pay me a few bucks to put together clean, polished works molded to their preferred scenario. Iâm not saying that I donât put effort into my non-commissioned writing, but I definitely donât look that carefully at it after itâs done or spend a whole lot of time on things.
Here are some benefits of a commissioned work rather than my typical works:
editing! what a concept! hey, iâll actually look over my writing, move things around, check spelling, and try to make it the best version of a thing that it can possibly be
more eloquent writing, seeing as iâm taking my time rather than trying to rush to get it done and over with for immediate gratification
more creativity (if the prompt allows), again because of how much more time iâm putting into these. itâs not just gonna be the first thing that pops into my head.
Does this mean Iâm not writing for free anymore? No. Are you crazy? Why would I ever stop doing that? I write because I like it, and while I may be slow with prompts because of school, that doesnât mean Iâm abandoning them! Keep sending me your prompts, hcs, etc!
Another thing: Iâm not going to pretend like I desperately need money. I donât. Iâm not in a situation like that. If youâre looking to commission someone because theyâre really struggling to make ends meet, I suggest you look elsewhere. But, I do use money because money can be exchanged for goods and services, and I am heading to RTX this year and looking for any way to alleviate the expenses. If you think my writing is good enough for you to throw a few dollars at, that is great and I am thankful.Â
Now, the rest of this (the logistics and details for those of you interested in even thinking about commissioning me) is under the cut so this isnât a monster of a post.
I canât stop thinking about the song money honey by lady gaga and how it would apply SO WELL to grillems (http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/ladygaga/moneyhoney.html)
I very well may write this Iâve been thinking about it for like a full day now lmao

Hi idk if you're taking prompts but that "you suck at dancing but you're doing it in the middle of the book store" thing would be hella cute with Joel finding Matt dancing
i hope you enjoy this! itâs terribly corny and has a lot of bad flirting, so i hope you like it.
âyou suck at dancing but youâre doing it in the middle of a bookstore to the crappy music on the radio and i think itâs pretty damn cuteâ au
the semester started a week ago, but itâs joelâs senior year and he knows better than to buy all of the textbooks for his classes before he goes. now that he has a grasp of the class and the curriculum, he doesnât have to buy three out of the seven books that he actually needs. it saves money and it makes joel feel like he beat the system (he didnât).
he trails in the campus bookstore, which is still busier than ever this early in the semester. there are some students checking out school attire (lots of freshmen who feel the need to aggressively rep the schoolâif they had any smart clothing, joel wouldnât mind wearing something), so he trails towards the textbooks.
the bookstore music is playing some corny 80âs music, probably songs that most college students wouldnât think to enjoy, but joel isnât opposed to it. âyour loveâ by the outfield is a classic song and he bops his head back and forth, hands tucked into his pockets as he trails down the aisle.
joel rounds the corner to another aisle, but stops short when he sees another student in front of him. it would be totally normal and not startle him the way it does, but this student is getting really into this song. so much so that heâs shaking his hips back and forth and bopping his head way more aggressively than joel was. he has a textbook in his hand and heâs flipping through the pages, but he doesnât seem to be paying that much attention to it as opposed to the music.
joel brings his hand up to cover his mouth so he doesnât embarrass this guy by laughing. and god, he doesnât mean to laugh at him, heâs really not trying to, but⌠well, his dancing isnât the best. the way he bops his head is way off rhythm from the song and joel really doesnât know what heâs doing with his hips. he must be a freshman, joel thinks, thinking that no one is watching and indulging in this moment.
the thing is, joel needs to go down this aisle to get a book for one of his classes but he really doesnât want to disturb this poor guy. there are some other books he needs to get, so he decides to move on to another row. but of course, with joelâs wonderful luck, he trips over a book that was carelessly left on the floor and causes a bit of a commotion.
the guyâs head shoots up when he sees joel and their eyes meet. joel couldnât get a good look at him before while his head was down, buried in a book, but he canât be a freshman, not with that well-grown beard he has. but his eyes are wide, as are joelâs, as they stand silently with nothing but the poppy tone of the outfield in the background.
joel gets himself together, pushing the book to the side as he brushes his shirt off. the guy straightens his posture and hurriedly snaps the book shut. âfun song,â joel comments with a soft grin, putting his hands in his shorts again. âyou seemed to be having fun with it, anyway.â
he clears his throat, hands tight on the textbook. 'uh, yeah,â he replies, 'good.. good song.â
heâs not sure why heâs compelled to keep talking to this poor guy thatâs clearly embarrassed for being caught, but heâs cute and such a bad dancer and joel wants to teach him how to dance (in more ways than one). his hair is short, but curly and heâs a little shorter than joel but it only makes joel want to hang all over him, put his arm around his shoulders, and break him out of this shy exterior heâs showing.
'you, uh, you like dancing?â joel asks. heâs not sure when he turned into the worldâs worst flirt; he used to be great at it, even james has complimented the flawless way joel can start a conversation with any stranger. but this guy is completely cramping his style and he doesnât know why.
'not really,â he replies, scratching the back of his head.
'oh.â shit. 'well, iâm⌠sorry for bothering you.â it seems like a good time for joel to go back to his room and never leave, ever again.
when he turns to go, he hears a quiet 'waitâ, barely audible over the 80âs tunes. joel turns around, seeing the guy take a step forward. 'whatâs your name?â
joel looks behind him just to make sure he wasnât talking to someone else, but theyâre still the only two in the aisle. he self-consciously straightens his shirt again. 'uh, iâmâiâm joel.â
'matt,â he replies, and when joel sees the smallest crack of a smile, heâs sure that all of his cool points that he was sure he had went way down from the way he sends a goofy smile back.
'matt,â joel repeats with a nod. 'thatâs a goodâi mean. itâsâcute?â he tries, his reserve completely crumbling in front of a good looking guy. joelâs never like this, heâs never this shy. what the hell is happening?
but matt laughs and joel counts it as the biggest win of the dayâof the week, even. 'thanks, i guess,â he shrugs. 'joelâs a cute name, too.â
oh god, joelâs going to lose it. how is a guy with this incredible beard and flushed cheeks so goddamn good at flirting as joel continues to flounder and fail? 'th-thanks, thank you.â
matt just nods and bites his lower lip for a moment (giving joel his own inappropriate thoughts) before he waves his book around. 'um, i gotta get some other books for class, soâŚâ he trails off.
but joel catches the cover of mattâs book and points at it. 'hey, i need that book, too,â he comments, walking closer to him and the section of books heâs in front of. 'are you also taking environmental science?â
he nods once more and his gentle smile returns. 'yeah. figured, y'know, senior year and all, would wanna take it kind of easy. plus i heard this class was actually interesting,â matt explains.
'whatâsâi mean when, whenâs your class?â joel stutters as he grabs another copy of their book.
'monday mornings, 10:15,â matt sighs. 'kind of thankful that itâs not earlier, but itâs still kind of early, soââ
joel cuts him off because fate is just so good to him, but also puts him in situations that he is not prepared for; how would he know that matt would also be in this class? 'thatâs the same time as my class,â he tells matt, bouncing on his feet a bit.
matt lets out another chuckle as he ducks his head. 'ah, yeah, i know,â he mentions. 'saw you come in on the first day. and, y'know, here in the bookstore i recognized you, so i figured why not⌠talk.â
joel is sure that if mattâs cheeks could get any redder, they would. joel also wants to be the one to do it. 'thatâsâwow, thatâs awesome,â he grins. 'so we could be class buddies.â
jeez, way to jump the gun, joel, he thinks bitterly to himself. what if he doesnât want to be friends? way to get ahead of yourself, idiot.
'thatâd be nice,â matt agrees easily. 'here, hold on.â he tugs his phone out of his pocket to hand over to joel, who very eagerily takes it in his hand. 'put your number in. maybe we could, like, do homework or study together. for class.â matt clears his throat, shoving his free hand back into his pocket nervously.
joel doesnât hesitate and quickly plugs his number in, and if he puts his name as âjoel cute class buddyâ with a blushing emoji, then matt wonât notice until he goes to text him. which joel prays he does. 'here ya go,â he smiles, returning mattâs phone.
'great. iâll text you later, if, um, if thatâs alright,â matt requests.
'itâs more than alright,â joel says with a laugh, âplease do. iâll be waiting for it.â
god, mattâs face is so red and cute and joel wishes they could stand here and talk forever, but matt simply gives him a shy wave before turning around to purchase his textbook.
when joelâs sitting in his dorm bed doing some early class readings, his phone vibrates with a text.
What an appropriate name for you in my phone, Joel cute class buddy
the smile on his face hurts as he checks the text, making sure to quickly save mattâs number before replying.
J:Â I figured it would be. your name is quite similar, if youâre interested in knowing what it is
M:Â Please, be my guest
J:Â itâs saved as 'Matt cuter class buddyâ
M:Â Original. I like it
J:Â yeah, I try. Iâm well known for originality around these parts
M:Â Iâm impressed. Whatâs something original that you do?
J:Â ask you out on a lunch date through text message
M:Â Hm. Not very original, but letâs pretend it is anyway. Not sure if that was an obvious enough answer, but Iâd like to go on a lunch date with you
J:Â I was going to take it as a yes anyway, donât you worry ;)tomorrow sound good?
M:Â Presumptuous, but correct. Tomorrow sounds great.
joelâs cool points may be way down for his awful flirting, but heâs glad that matt likes him anyway.
Hey, I think "hey we hooked up last night and it turns out youâre my childâs teacher" with Peakovic (Adam as a single parent) would be juuuuust amazing!
whoever you are, anon, iâd like to formally apologize a million times. because this has been sitting in my inbox for MONTHS. probably since november or december. and iâm sorry that iâm such a shitty writer and that it took me so long, but i hope this does some sort of justice. iâm sorry i made you wait for some mediocre peakovic, but i hope you enjoy it anyway <3
peakovic |Â âhey we hooked up last night and it turns out youâre my childâs teacherâ au
