Scare actor!Mattheo absolutely volunteers for the haunt at Hogsmeade every year. Not for the potential to earn a few extra galleons, but for the sheer thrill of having power over people’s fear. Especially the meek Hufflepuffs or the Gryffindor students who act like they’re too good to be scared… every year without fail, he proves them wrong.

Scare actor!Mattheo always prefers the roles where he gets to wear a mask. He enjoys the anonymity of being able to stare, taunt, and get close to people without any actual repercussions. Being the Dark Lord’s son has its perks… but definitely more disadvantages. He’s lucky he’s allowed to be involved in the haunt at all, so masks make the experience all that easier.

Scare actor!Mattheo lives up to his rep in class: a typical arrogant Slytherin benefiting from certain professors fearing his family. With his feet kicked up, a constant smirk on his face, and a little too much confidence …. but you can see right through him. He teases you in Potions, especially since it’s an intimate subject (smells, chemistry, potential for hand brushing). He leans close and mutters things just low enough that only you can hear.. sending forbidden chills down your spine.

Scare actor!Mattheo thrives on reading people, he can almost immediately clock who’s nervous or excited by the fear at the haunted house, no doubt using it against them. He has to be constantly reminded by the haunt staff not to touch people… but he toes the line every night. A finger trailing over a nerdy girl from Ravenclaw’s hair, brushing against random girls’ hips when he squeezes past, jumping out early and trying to grab first year’s. They scream so loud it’s assumed they can heard back at the castle.

Scare actor!Mattheo has a reputation to uphold, so he’s not one to flirt with those he actually likes in front of others. When it comes to talking to his crushes he becomes more vulnerable. The haunt gives him an outlet to act on the things he can’t say or do at school beyond his light teasing. Like staring shamelessly at you, or cornering you, whispering desire-laced threats.

Scare actor!Mattheo ends up totally disobeying the rules when you grace his presence in the house. He breaks character in subtle ways he wouldn’t with other occupants. Whispering your name under his breath, letting his voice slip through the mask just enough that to let you know it’s him.
