Mannnnnn was this guy a prick in this episode lol- BUT! There is so much nuance to his behavior. It doesn’t excuse it, but he is literally suicidal. Lashing out is the least of his worries right now unfortunately. I believe his behavior towards Mohan (and doctor Al) came from a deep rooted sense of ‘I’m failing right now in my own head, I have no control over myself or my feelings, but I can police other’s emotions, THAT I have control over’. When you’re so lost in your head the way he probably is right now, dismissing mental health in others and downplaying it can also be a cover up to how others perceive the way he is handling himself right now. If he dismisses Mohan’s panic attack, people will probably think that he’s much stronger than he actually is, and that he can handle himself well (whether that was conscious or subconscious on his part). His behavior was awful, and again inexcusable, but battling with suicidal thoughts doesn’t make everyone automatically empathetic towards others (especially when a plan is already set). It’s a sad reality that I think should be discussed more. Idk I’d love to hear thoughts.
