From what I’ve gathered only the French version changed it while the other European countries just kept it the same as the English version.

I know we had an habit of changing every name that might sound too foreign and be difficult to pronounce for little (and apparently idiotic) French kids at the time but was it worth stripping him away from such a cool and badass name???

But mostly do you know how confused younger me was when she first started reading in English and wanted to look up fics but couldn’t find anything and didn’t know who the hell was edgeworth and why everyone was shipping him with Phoenix when Benjamin was the obvious choice????

Picture this: this very popular band releases a diss track against this very new but fairly popular boys band, who regularly give free concerts and appears to be nothing but nice to their fans, in which they repeatedly call them “demons” and drop lyrics such as and I quote “I’ll cut you up, you’ll lose control then rip out your heart” and “ a demon with no feelings don’t deserve to live” WITH NO CONTEXT WHATSOEVER.

I don’t know much about Kpop and the culture around it but I know that telling a rival group they should die for seemingly no reason can and will expose you to a shitstorm on tweeter.

Hunter X Hunter ? Why not ? A cross can be a pretty misleading sign when our alphabet has an almost identical letter so I could see where the confusion came from.
