So Grace and Rocky are already a thing when they find Simon, but the thing is Grace is well.. a little embarrassed. Not by Rocky himself or anything, just a little self concious about what Simon may or may not think in regards to their relationship.
Despite a new human on the ship, Grace's feelings for Rocky does not change!! but he insists that they should keep it a secret for now, to which Rocky is a little irritated but eventually agrees.
so they dance around eachother, Rocky going back to calling Grace "friend Grace" instead of "mate Grace" with distaste.
Simon notices it once hes more comfortable on the ship, and is thoroughly confused. so.. he pokes around.
Simon: uhh Grace?
Grace: hmm? whats up?
Simon: I know I havent been here long but.. is something going on with you and- *gestures to sleeping Rocky*
so the three of them continue this song and dance, but as time goes on Simon and Grace bond more and more and Grace is oblivious to his own feelings for Simon until Rocky asks him about it. Grace is horrified once he realises, apologising over and over insisting he still loves Rocky too to which causes Rocky to be the confused one..
Rocky: why is Grace upset? Grace do nothing wrong! (they're working on grammar..)
Grace: What?? *said through tears*

but oh Simon? he's not oblivious. not at all. He put two and two together when he overheard Rocky refer to Grace as his mate a few times when he wasn't in the room followed by Grace shushing him lol
what he also notices is that now they're dancing around him also, Grace will go pink with he stands to close and making an excuse to distance himself.. Rocky will hang around his legs and Grace will glare at him when he think's Simon isnt looking until he moves away.. the works.
Oh and Simon? Simon is having the time of his life!
