Procrastination ♕

It was lucky that I had no school last friday, so I could head right away down to the clinic (which was really empty). 

I will be having my attachments on in 2 weeks time! (Dreading it yet I can’t wait for it!) 

In celebration of Singapore’s 50th Birthday, every student in Singapore will receive a SG 50 ‘Building My SG’ Lego set!

The lego set can make three Singaporean icons - the Cavenagh Bridge, Changi Control Tower, and the Supertrees from Gardens by the Bay.

Moving on, I bought more contacts on impulse cause my Freshkon contacts were all used up. (And also the fact that shipping will be free buying contacts with my friend, well she asked me about it)

I originally wanted to buy grey contacts only but I thought, “Well if I’m going to stock up on my contacts I should buy something daily or weekly” And I ended up buying the Neo Natural Dali in Brown. 

The diameter is 0.2mm smaller than the Freshkon one yet it looks way larger on my eyes, and the colour is more distinct, so I ended up feeling really self-conscious when I go out wearing in the contacts.

Ignore the red eye, my eyes sting easily. (The solution always hurt T^T)

 I haven’t tried the Revocon Grey Contacts yet though, and its 0.3mm larger than the Freshkon ones.

Also, I received 4 animal contact cases! Hopefully the grey contact will be similar to Freshkon in terms of subtlety.

I also finally got my KanKen bag, it’s not entirely authentic (from the boutique shop), but from the factory itself. So obviously, it’s way cheaper than the usual $120+. 

And.. it finally arrived!

Honestly I didn’t even realised it was bake-able until my friend told me about it. (Totally didn’t bother reading the package...) 

It’s really good after it was baked. I can’t describe it though, so you gotta try it out yourself! (Life doesn’t allow me to be a food critic)

Honestly, I have no idea why I keep getting this sudden and short urge to just type out what I think, show off what I did (cause I am a lazy person, doing something is a big thing for me). Well, I’m gonna keep my urge going and just write out my thoughts and display my wall of ‘achievements’ to non-existent viewer (probably just myself) Maybe I could look back at this 10 years later, and laugh at how ridiculous I was, smile at all the fond memories I’ve made, redo recipe and DIY I did in the past. Who knows, maybe?

I’ve been feeling under the weather recently.. and my brother not being cautious and careful about his illness have most likely passed on his yucky virus to me. Blowing my nose trigger my throat to feel an itch and cough and then I end up coughing quite violently. I have tests this week, and I cannot imagine (maybe I can) myself, bending over my paper and coughing violently. 

Sorry for being disjointed but I was suddenly reminded of a question that someone once asked me or more precisely to a group of friends. What do you usually do in your free time? 

I sing! I watch drama! I do sports!

But me? Really... I just drift off to lala land and then come back to reality to only notice 2 hours has passed. I’m not creating a fantasy world to escape reality, I just zone out into a blank space haha and 发呆. I should really learn the joy of learning and doing work and buckle up soon.

I felt really energetic this past week and managed to do plenty of DIYs and made desserts.

If you don’t remember, I planned to finally start the DIY painting set that I got as a present last year. Well... its done. Actually, it has been done for quite some months now. Opps.

Now let’s move on to some DIY I did from youtube!

I am at my final year of high school and every few days it’s either class test or lecture test or timed practice... And on my ‘free-from-test’ days, I’ve got tons of homework to complete. Listening to my brother’s past experiences, he mentioned that now that we are in high school, teachers are more relaxed and want us to be independent and face our own consequences if we choose not to complete homework. I thought that it would be the same for my school.. guess not. Honestly, some homework is absolutely useless as I have no idea what the new topic is about and would rather just go for tutorial classes without finishing my work and listen to my teacher go through each questions. 

I’ve been barely passing my subjects and really need to go back and review my past topics and catch up with my genius class. (It’s really stressful, this class that I am in...) 

Sorry about the short rant but I might be posting a short ‘DIY’ soon before going MIA for quite a while. Also, I got Samsung Note 4, guess I’m still stuck on the brand loyalty :S

Update on my invisalign: My wound is healing and I can see the tip of my wisdom tooth! I will be going for a scanning this Friday and finally start my invisalign around mid May! The estimated time for my entire invisalign process would be about 54 weeks, so I would be done at around July 2016.

It’s been a while, I know... Nothing out of the norm happened these past months and hence I’ve got nothing to write here. Apparently, I spoke too soon. Guess what. 

I dropped my phone in the toilet.

Genius. My intuition told me to leave my phone behind but I ignored it (like always when things go horribly wrong), then I forgot how loose my pockets were. And floop my phone slid off my pocket and into the toilet, thank goodness, after I flushed it. I immediately took it off and removed the battery. But... the screen went crazy and started flickering pink/purple light. 

I’ve checked online on what to do to solve this problem, and it was to put my phone and the battery into a bag of rice and zip lock it. I did just that and my screen finally showed coloured and stopped flickering. But.. it did not last long. And this happened a few times. I have decided to just put my phone in the bag of rice for a couple more days before I test it again. 

In the mean time, I’m using my friend’s really old HTC phone that fits the size of my palm. Adorable. 

This also mean that I can’t take any picture, not with this crappy camera on the phone. ｡ﾟ( ﾟஇ‸இﾟ)ﾟ｡

Now... what phone should I change to? Samsung Note 4? Or LG G3?

And here I am being an idiotic person who thought that this process is going to hurt a lot. Perhaps it is due to the unprofessional dentists I had to go to back in my school days (when we were given free dental). Those who make any dental visit (major or minor) hurts.

I sat there, holding my hands together anticipating the slight jab of the anesthetic, saw the needles approaching and then leaving. The assistant thought that I was in pain and had to comfort me. I must have looked so stupid.. not even the process of inserting the copper wire in between my teeth and then pulling them apart was painful. It was just a bit uncomfortable and I could feel a little pressure on my teeth. But I got used to it now. It just feels like there is something stuck onto my teeth.

Though I worry about how I am going to brush my teeth without accidentally shifting or removing the copper wire.

I really ought to believe in this expensive service more. Hahaha.

I will be doing the copper wiring tomorrow~ I feel a little bit nervous and excited. I wonder if i will hurt a lot. :S

Hopefully not.. I like to think that I have a high pain tolerance but who knows... ヽ(;ﾟ;∀;ﾟ; )ﾉ

I tried making it look like a jellyfish according to this YouTube video.. and it doesn't help that I have no paint at home. A white jellyfish?

I baked it according to the temperature the clay mentioned: 110 degree celsius for 30 min. But the jellyfish got burnt. All went well as my jellyfish now have colours in it! (Its always good to see things on a brighter side)

萌ちゃん's Christmas present is complete!

I don't really know what got me so inspired to do more bottled charms, but I made another one for my friend just a few days later. 

Does it look like a sea shell with pearl? I only have a small container to do this bottled charm.. so...

It's cute though.

I have only used 5% of the Fimo Clay.. so I would most likely be doing a lot more bottled charm in the future. Maybe once I expand my paint collection (only have blue paint right now)

Picnic day with萌ちゃん! (Christmas Eve celebration?)

I made Custard Pudding, Egg Roll Wrap and Bacon Stuffed Mushroom for our potluck. Reika made Scones and Brushetta while萌ちゃん made a Pumpkin Salad?

After eating our brunch, we played some card games where we taught one another card games exclusive (or more common) in our country! (Cultural bonding eh?) It was close to 12pm when we head over to Llao Llao for萌ちゃん to try out new franchise that opened while she was away.

We finally reached Reika’s house at around 3pm and made S’mores Cupcakes.  〜(^∇^〜）

萌ちゃん got us both Sakura Matcha KitKat and Midi Pocky! I’ve never seen Sakura in real life nor smelled one before, so the taste was really new and different for me. (In a good way though.)

I always wondered.. if I am really such a lazy person (laugh), or perhaps I am just more willing to put in effort when it comes to dessert. Yeah. I can procrastinate doing something not important real bad. For example, that DIY painting set that I got from my mum on my birthday... which was 5 months ago...?

I won't say that I am a good baker and do really complicated desserts. I actually am really bad at cooking, and is just really good at saving my food/desserts such that it turns out to be decent but really weird looking. But we all know, don't judge a book by its cover. Even if I was very careful, I usually ended up spending hours and hours cooking. By the time I finished my work, I would need to force myself to clean up the kitchen before I can relax and regret making the dessert/food. That's usually the case, but I always ended up making another food/dessert a few weeks later. Its like I never learn do I? (Its the power of love for sweets yeah.)

In just 2 days, I did Matcha Pudding and Oreo Cheesecake. It's nothing to be proud of, since it was relatively easy and not really well made/decorated. The only time I did a full blown dessert, was my Mother's cake last year (the last time I will ever try doing marshmallow fondant). 

I did my best and decorated it with アズキ(read beans). It was a wise choice. I'm sure the pudding would have tasted bland without the アズキ.

Probably what got me so tired during the night... (I'm nocturnal for your information) I had to use my own whisk and beat the cream cheese.. as my beater is spoilt... I really ought to take these things into account when I choose my recipe. ε- (￣､￣A) ﾌｩｰ

I might do more dessert before my aligners arrive and my invisalign officially starts... Next update should be on my picnic trip with Megu!

I was just walking around the mall with my friend with the intention of just chatting away and window-shopping... but as I entered cotton on and wandered into the shoe section.

I saw a 2 for $15 offer for this chunky heels that looks really comfortable to wear in. I just had to try it out. And so... I ended up deciding to get that, but I needed another pair to have the offer. None of the stocks left were in my size and felt comfortable to wear and it resulted in this awkward girl spying on other customers and asking if they want to share the offer together.

Yes, I did that. And yes, it was a success. (°∀°)ゝ”

It's about midnight right now and I got to stay up late to finish up my Economics work. Holding a concert at midnight. Yeah! (；◔ิз◔ิ)～♪♬ 

Also, I made banana milkshake to keep me company for the night 

Its easy to make. 1 banana to 1 cup milk(and blend together with some ice cubes). Depending on how ripe or the type of banana you use, you may or may not want to add sugar. (Mine is too sweet!) 

Maybe I could have added a little ground cinnamon for flavour. 

I am not so sure why I am so excited for Christmas this year. Perhaps cause 萌ちゃん is coming to town! (ﾉ≧∀≦)ﾉ

My family used to 'celebrate' Christmas together with out relatives when I was younger, but I guess we sort of all decided to stop doing so mutually. Just a few days ago, while I was studying outside my house, I saw this mini christmas tree that we used to use it as decoration when Christmas is arriving. 

I thought, 'Hey! Why not give it a little make over!'

And I did just that! I totally copied the decoration style from the Christmas Tree I chanced upon earlier that day. (≧▽≦)

Well, there goes my fun for the day. I really ought to have a inexpensive, long-lasting hobby...

On a side note: It was my 小白 birthday that day. Happy 6th Birthday! I bought a new treat for him, and turns out he loved it!

It's been so long since I've wanted to correct my teeth.

The horror I heard about braces always hold me back on doing them. (and also the fact that my conductor will be really unhappy with me for doing braces in the middle of school year) With that, I ended up not doing anything for 4 years. 

Finally! On 19 November, I went for a dental consultation for invisalign. Turns out my teeth situation is complicated.. and there was other extraction and correction needed to be done. (Regretting that 4 years of doing nothing...) 

I thought that it would be good to make short posts to keep track of my invisalign process. I will be updating this post with the happenings of my invisalign process! 

So far I've only did my mould and scan and there is still the 3D animation to wait for before my aligners could be made. I've got a long while more of waiting.

Hehe, I'm really excited for my invisalign to start. But before that.. I need to extract two teeth.. ヽ(;ﾟ;∀;ﾟ; )ﾉ

This is more of a post for myself, to allow me to keep in track of my progress as well as to use it as reference in the future.

19 Nov: I attended my first consultation, and had my teeth and smile pictures taken for further examination of my process. I was also told of two choices to make for my lower teeth. Either to straighten my molar teeth and surgically remove my wisdom tooth. Or to extract my molar teeth and then allow my wisdom tooth to grow. I had some worries as to if my wisdom tooth will grow out (which the orthodontist assure me that it will) and also if my wisdom tooth will grow in time for my aligners to pull it forward to close up the gap of my missing teeth. It took me a long while to decide, and I have chosen the extraction of my molar teeth path. Hopefully, everything will go right!

01 Dec: It was time for me to get the mould done as well as to finish up my second part of the X-Ray, since the machine was down that day. After that, I needed to get my teeth scanning done for the 3D-animation of my invisalign process. I was telling my mum that since this will be the last few weeks before I had to discipline myself and hold back on sweet stuff (that's what she 'suggested', obviously not the sweet lover me), I requested for a short mum and daughter catch up at Llao Llao. :)

05 Jan: After a long wait, my 3D stimulation has finally arrived. It seems as if all was great as I only had less than 30 aligners (which means that it would not affect my future holiday trip) when the orthodontist came into the room and told me that he has some issues with my left molar teeth. He think that it is wise to not extract that but to straighten it and then remove my wisdom tooth. And this entire process (I forgot the name of this procedure, but it has something to do with copper wiring) will take another 2-3 months. The thing is, it might be successful, it might not be... With that, it is confirm that I will still be doing my invisalign when I go overseas... troublesome.. as I would like to snack on anything I can find on the street, and not need to find a nearby washroom to take out my aligners and then later brush my teeth and put it back in. Kind of disappointed.. I was really excited to start my invisalign..

17 Jan: I honestly thought that my orthodontist was going to do a metal braces style of treatment for my copper wiring. So I was quite nervous that day. Turns out, all he did was stuff a coiled up copper wire in between my slanted molar and the next one. The whole process was completely pain free with only slight discomfort from the fact that they had to shove the wire in between my teeth. Right now, it's been a day since that treatment and I am not too sure if the wire went out of place or not cause I don't feel the pressure between my teeth anymore. Opps!ヽ（・＿・；)ノ I will need to keep pulling the teeth apart for my slanted molar to grow out straight. And once its relatively straight, I will be doing my mould again and finally my invisalign can start. (Unless this treatment fails and I end up having to extract both molars and have my wisdom teeth grow out.. which is risky, in case my wisdom doesn't grow out in time. *cross fingers* I hope everything goes well!)

28 Jan: Second copper wiring! I took a before and after photo and seems like this process is working! I also really need to tell the orthodontists about the wire being rough... (I have ulcers now..)

4 Feb: Maybe I was wrong about the orthodontist. He was showing me his friendly side when he told me that my tooth is shifting in the way he wanted. Really hope that this process will be quick so that I can speed up my invisalign process faster!  Also.. I will be visiting the clinic twice per week as my tooth is shifting so quickly that I don't feel the pressure from the copper wire within a day. #toothpower

7 Feb: 4th copper wiring! The orthodontist was wondering if I should do my other tooth on the right. I've resigned my fate to having invisalign when I go to Japan next year. That's gonna be troublesome. (Won't get to snack on random street food as and when I want..)  

16 Feb: My tooth moved so fast that I've completed part 1 of my copper wiring! The wire is finally gone, as the gap is too big for the wire to stay in place. I am now waiting for it to grow upwards slightly before either doing another set of copper wiring/start on my invisalign! Which also mean.. I will be extracting my other tooth... I'm still wondering if I should remove my wisdom tooth now, before the roots embed even deeper...  

5 March: Time for round 2! 

11 March: (side story) Guilty.. I completely forgot about my appointment and have to reschedule it with another orthodontist (Cause my original one has to fly overseas for some meetings, and I made him wait for me no one)

21 March: I’m going to extract my last molar tooth next appointment! And finally last round of copper wiring! 4 months of waiting already... if only my teeth weren't in such horrendous situation..

4 April: Probably one of the most uncomfortable injections I've ever taken. The slight pain of the needles plus the fact that it took a minute or so for the anesthetic to be injected into my gum, made the process frustrating. All in all, it was quite a painful event. The anesthetic works somewhat, but its the fact that the dentist was tugging and twisting my molar tooth and then adding force onto my weak slackened jaw that made it painful. It felt like my jaw was going to pop out of place. Scary. Kind of funny how it wasn't the extracting of the tooth that is the most painful but my weak jaw. (Though the ripping of my molar tooth’s roots was disgusting feeling and throbbing-ly painful) On the good note, I can finally do my scan and then proceed my invisalign finally by mid May.

17 April: My Chemistry Lecturer was being an ass and let us off 30 minutes late, worried that I will not make it on time, I called my dental clinic to ask for a change only to find myself being able to reach in 20 minutes (compared to the 45 minutes that I planned it to be). I had 30 minutes before the clinic closes, and I needed to take picture, do impression and scanning (again). All in all, it was finally done in an hour. Opps! Sorry for the overtime work. 

13 May: Once again, I went to see my 3D-smulation, but this time my aligners set increased by 8 (that means 4 more months), a total of 37 sets. I was hoping that I could finish my invisalign treatment before school start... guess not. (I’m glad I got to bring back home a cd of the simulation, then I will be reminded of how ugly my teeth used to be)

22 May: I received a SMS early in the morning, telling me that I could go and collect my invisalign aligners. I honestly was quite surprise as I thought it might take more than 2 weeks. Luckily, I had no school so I could visit the dental clinic immediately after I received the SMS. For now I am on my 1st set of aligners and will need to return on 12 June to put on my attachments and start on my 2nd set. Can’t wait for this 1 year and 6.5 months to be over!
