Then abruptly, everything changes in a flash. No warning, no being pushed in or back. He blinks and suddenly the entire scenery's changed.

Now he's in an utterly unfamiliar location. Eyes snap stare wide open ( though obscured behind dark lenses ) For a prolonged period — no words are verbalized. No muscles move. Hell, his lungs barely breathe. He simply stands there with his boots planted firmly in the ground. Body stiff and pale enough to resemble a damn mannequin.

This looks NOTHING like HOME.

Only after the reality finally sets in — that he is somehow nowhere near his house, perhaps nowhere near Paradise at all — does his body remember how to work. His head jerks to one side and to the other. Searching for anything that may explain how the world beneath his feet changed. Then his bewildered stare finds a girl. A pretty face that's also unrecognizable.

Tifa had seen a few summons by now--her memory of the first time she summoned Ifrit was forever burned (no pun intended) into her mind and soul alike--and she's heard of numerous summons beyond that. Never, out of any of them, had she heard of summoning a person. Fantastical beasts, dragons, angels, devils, and so on--yes, absolutely. But just some random guy?

Not once... not before now.

"Yeah... yeah, ahm, I did." In spite of that being the truth, the barmaid sounded unsure--and with good reason. She'd never heard of a summon materia summoning a person before... or, at least, he looked like a person? An obviously unnerved and on-edge person, but could he really be blamed for that? She would probably be more than a little unsettled if she was in his shoes, pulled suddenly from Odin-knows-where to a back alley in Midgar. Carmine eyes dropped from the stranger, to the cracked materia, then back again, brow faintly furrowed in thought.

...and he's probably growing even more nervous with her standing there not saying anything, huh?

Explain yourself, Tifa.

"I found this materia--" Her right hand lifts, her left finger lightly tapping the crystal in question. "--and I didn't know what it would summon, so I tried to use it. It worked, and... well, now you're here in Sector 7."
