I spend every waking minute alarmed by the passage of time so this isn’t exactly out of the ordinary but still why have I spent the last few days concerned about “making the most of summer” as if I’m a 15 year old in a coming of age movie

#I had taken today as a vacation day for no real reason (mostly bc I knew I had a busy weekend and would wanna rest)#but I basically just did all my normal stuff like grocery shopping and sitting around except without the guilt of not working #and idk I’m just like… how are we halfway through august already why is everything going by so fast #and thinking back to the late winter/early spring where you plan for summer and all the ~possibilities #and I’m just like. idk if I made the most of the possibilities!!!!#in case you couldn’t tell. I may or may not be having a Crisis but she’s fine don’t worry

Being obsessed with 1D and specifically Harry for like 10 years of my life really made me unstable like I’m soo glad my frontal lobe developed and Harry got ugly because now I am indifferent but there was a time where my sister and friends would not play Harry’s music around me when I was first trying to break free from the shackles and they would refer to it as “she broke up with him” 😭 it was so bad my friend really thinks that whole obsession with them affected me more than any actual breakup I went through 💀but anyway god bless I am free now and generally don’t care about any celebrities anymore

“I’m so glad Harry got ugly” is killing meeeeee 💀💀 this is all sooo real though like now when I see ~fandom drama and stuff happening I’m like thank fucking GODDD im not dealing with any of that and am old enough to be able to just like things a normal amount without investing my entire life into them…. the notes on the “you should read more nonfiction books” post i reblogged a few minutes ago are really depressing to me… So many people screaming crying throwing up about how fiction is their special little funtime zone and they couldn’t imagine reading anything nonfiction. I do not sympathize with that mindset. I can’t help but wonder what society-level force has instilled people with this incurious attitude. is it a failing of the education system? i’m just not sure.
