Joker growled to herself once she was shut back in her usual cell on Arkham asylum. Damn that Batman and his determination that she could be cured. As if anyone here was actually looking to cure her. Between inappropriate gropings from orderlies to the quacks that just fried her brain until she was compliant, no one was getting any help here. She wondered what new doctor was going to get punished with her this time.
She was wheeled into the office, straightjacked and chained to the chair and her eyebrow rose. "A woman?" she asked. "Well, well, well. Aren't you a pretty little thing. And who did you piss off to get little ole me?"
Her mind was a fog after the second shock, her entire body numb from pain, her mind clear of thoughts. She only remembered seeing Joker look at her for a moment before walking out of the room, and she figured that was the point she passed out. At some point the police pulled her from her state, but her state of mind wasn’t proper for questioning.
She was given some time off, but it was only damaging for her mental state. Her nightmares took over her life - about what happened that night. About her past, her parents, past relationships - and Joker. Why did she let her go? Regardless, something was different about her - and she was in no rush to work again.
