bored and wanna do some good? why don’t you go add some closed captions to a smosh video of your choosing! ngl, it’s not always an easy task as it often takes a long time and you gotta make sure you’re doing it right. BUT in doing so, you’re helping out someone who could really use subtitles 👀‼

just click the three dots under the video on desktop, click “add translations”, and clean up the auto-generated text that youtube made! cleaning up means correcting text, adding in text, fixing the timing of captions so they’re not too long or short, and/or making sure there are no fan-inserted jokes or embellishments to the captions. if you’re lucky, someone might have already started working on the captions OR they might’ve even finished them and you get to approve them for publication.

you click on the newest episode of the damien and shayne show. it’s three hours of nidhogg 2. approximately 178 minutes of the video is them grunting at the screen. the other 2 minutes are them yelling expletives, except you never hear them use a real curse word. they know walt disney has been watching them since the so random days.

you click on another video. this time it’s the try not to laugh challenge. shayne is seated before damien, whose jokes consist only of extremely obscure pop culture references. shayne finds them hilarious yet no one else is laughing. they worry what will come when shayne’s face reaches maximum redness. you hear noah weeping in the background.

another video. damien and shayne are back on the red couch. they are so entranced with the video game before them that they don’t notice the decreasing amount of space between them. their thighs are overlapping. shayne somehow ends up sitting on damien’s lap. damien complains he can’t see the screen. shayne tells him that his controller must smell. you realize the couch has grown and stretched past the screen.
