Again, Hansa leaned forward, resting their chin on their hand as they listened to Bright's story. It often came with territory when they were at work, so they learned to shut their pretty mouth and listen for once. "Ooof... sounds like life hasn't been all that kind to you, right?" Yeah, that was a given. Fortunately, even when Hansa was struggling to find themselves back then, they've always had their dad to count on. Granted, they also knew not everyone's life was like that. "Sorry this has happened to you, but it seems like you've turned your life around, yeah?" At least they tried keeping their conversation on the happier side of it. The way Hansa scrunched their face was almost hilarious. "Bleh, not really into keeping men wet, though." They were past feeling annoyed that people simply assumed they were into men. That had been a serious issue in their early twenties, but now, in their thirties, Hansa didn't waste their energy fighting off people who assumed gender and sexuality. It was honestly tiring and they weren't into feeling energetically drained. A soft laugh escaped their lips when Stella mentioned going shopping for sugar daddies. "I have no clue? Maybe up the age on Tinder? I'd personally go for selling feet pics on OnlyFans, that way I don't have to show my face to creepy dudes. But nah... the only daddy in my life is my daddyo and there's nothing sugar-y about him, I promise." Plus, Hansa was way too protective of their own dad to have him paraded around to younger folks. They took the drink once it was placed in front of them and clinked its glass against Stella's, then took a sip from it. "Seth's my bandmate and an oooold bud. He owes me a few drinks from past gigs and so, since I'm too nice for my own good, I'm sharing them with you." They bat their eyelashes at Stella, before letting out another laugh. Hansa drew in a breath as they leaned back against their seat, stretching their arms over their head. They were definitely feeling life coming back to their body and their soul returning to this vessel they used to walk around in. People were actually correct when they would say that being hungover once you were past thirty meant getting sick. "Classic it is." They nodded, getting up from their chair, then making their way inside to order a taco and a carnitas burrito, too. Because the only thing better than a taco, was a burrito with it. The staff gave Hansa their order's number and the brunette returned to their seat outside. "So, Bright... what's your story? What brings you to Florida?" — @brightcreek

By the time Hansa had returned, they were already ready to light up one, sit back by the beach and just relax. The guy who was keeping them company didn't seem like they were all that alert, but hey... to each their own. They took the beer as it was handed out to them and smiled in thanks, before reaching into their jacket's pocket and pulling out their already-rolled joint. After lighting it up, they inhaled and then passed it over to Dante. "For fifty bucks? Fuck, no, dude!" They chuckled, almost choking a little bit on the smoke. "Please, my tits are worth more than fifty fucking bucks. Why? Would you?" Because, although they didn't really care for male genitalia (or men in general), it would be hella fun to watch him do something this stupid for silly fifty bucks. — @dantetravers

If it had been up to Marco, he probably would have hid out in his grandparents' house for at least a couple weeks before venturing out into Siesta Keys. In a town as small as this, news spread fast and salacious news like the town's golden boy being released from jail spread even faster. He didn't want to have to deal with the judging stares or even questions he'd inevitably get. But his grandmother refused to let him wallow and had almost literally kicked him out of the house today with a 'you ain't got anything to be ashamed of!' thrown over her shoulder as she locked him out. Marco had shook his head with a chuckle before taking to the streets.

There was one thing he had missed about Siesta Keys and that was the lemon cupcakes at Sweet Spot. So he made his way to the bakery. As he turned the corner onto Sweet Spot's street, he walked right into someone. "Shit! Sorry!" he quickly apologized, reaching out to steady them, a smile coming to his lips upon realizing it was Hansa. "Fancy bumping into you here." he said with a teasing glint to his eye, waiting to see if they'd give him crap for the pun.

Hansa was more than happy to be an only child, but the loneliness that came with it, they hardly ever shared with anyone. Lucky for them, they grew up having Marco as some sort of an older brother figure. If they could, they would have probably adopted him into their family—because in their little fucked up brain, it would have helped him be less of a dickbrain when it came to Juan, his younger brother. Don't get them wrong... they could handle and accept a lot being passed off as it being done on behalf of the family, but going to jail? Nah, that was where they'd draw the line.

Years went by with Hansa giving Marco a rough time for serving time while Juan was out there not really being the stellar brother Marco had expected him to be, but also, they were there as a friend. To listen, to give him a shoulder to cry on, something to hold onto when he was released. So when he needed space to wallow in his pain and whatever else he was feeling after being released, Hansa gave him space.

ELLE bit her lip, turning around a few times as her eyes wander the large metal shelves. She was searching for some sign or indication of what aisle she was in but the hodgepodge of items around her did little to give her a sense of place. “Oh boy,” She breathed and ran a hand through her hair, letting out a huge rush of air. How did she even end up in this store to begin with? How does someone accidentally get lost in a Costco? Elle wasn’t even a member–but the membership checker at the front of the store must have taken pity on her for needing to use the bathroom and let her in. Which was sure kind of him–except that…well, now she wasn’t sure how to get out. “Oof,” Her body collided with someone else’s in her distracted state and she felt her cheeks flush red. “I–I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to run into you.” She rushed to get her apology out. “I’m trying to figure out where I am and it seems I wasn’t paying attention. I’m–you’re not hurt are you?”

hansa was double-checking everything on their shopping list before heading to the check-out area. would it be too irresponsible to add a few more things to their shopping cart and call it a day? she was about to call their father and ask if he wanted anything from costco when someone bumped into them. hansa knew how fcking cheesy it was to flirt with a stranger on costco, but fucking hell.. this woman was... gorgeous. it was hard not to. "ooof... i'd gladly get hurt by someone as beautiful as you." yes, yes. horrible, they knew that. "terrible, isn't it? anyways, you've mentioned trying to figure out where you were, yeah? it's east to get lost here, right? are you going somewhere specific? i'm going to the check out area. it's easier to find yourself through there." whenever things were a bit calmer in house of ink, hansa liked doing some doodling here and there to add to their flash tattoo samples. they were sitting by the front desk area while their receptionist was on their lunch break, and got a bit startled as olivia suddenly hid behind the front desk. granted, it didn't need an explanation from the woman to make hansa realize what was going on. "you'll owe me big time, nunez." hansa let out a heavy sigh as they spoke to one of their co-workers. suffice to say, both olivia and hansa were the ones who kept bringing in more clients and giving house of ink more money, so of course they could turn down a few clients here and there. "where are your balls, huh?" they teased, smirking at olivia as they hopped down from their seat.

"hey, harold my man! what can i do for you?" hansa asked and the man said they wanted to do a retouch with olivia. "damn, liv's fully booked today, though. but i can help. c'mon, let's go over to my lil turf of love." they gently nudged liv with the tip of their boot as they walked around the front desk, bringing harold along with her to her working station. ugh, liv was right though. some people totally forgot the notion of personal hygiene, which, hansa was ballsy enough to bring it up to harold in their own, sweet way. once they were done working on him a few hours later, they washed their hands and moved to liv's work station. huh. funny indeed, but to each their own. especially if the other didn't seem inclined to talk about it. hansa had also had had their fair share of traveling around the u.s., both when they were still in speaking terms with their mother, and after they'd gone to and back from university. they didn't have a love relationship with sarasota, much less, with siesta key, but life had landed them back into the place they'd grown up and they were totally okay with that. "i feel that." they paused for a moment. "well, welcome back, you know? this place has missed ya. what are your plans for now?" ( @liloujuliette )

hansa shook their head. as long as they knew their way to the bathroom, booze and their way out, they should be fine. "nah. i'm alright. imma just hit the bathroom real quick and i'll be back, okay?" they maneuvered through some people who were standing in their way to the bathroom, did what they had to do and then returned to the kitchen area, wiping their hands off on their shorts. "someone stole the bathroom hand towel, can you believe? bunch of animals." they laughed softly, shaking their head once again. "anyways. that beer? you wanna get us some and then go outside for a smoke? i have some good weed on me." ( @dantetravers )

granted, hansa could buy them something, if there were another thing in it for them… but, since they were in a good mood and didn’t want it to end up being rude, they flashed the other a small smirk. “sucks to be them, i guess. now i get to spend some time with you and they don’t.” with a shrug, the brunette leaned forward onto the bar top and waved one of the bartenders over. “hi grant! i’ll have a gin and tonic and my friend here will have whatever they want, okay? put it on seth’s tab.” seth happened to be their band’s bassist who actually owed hansa a few drinks. “ever tried selling it on shark tank? put a label on it, honey. make big bucks. you’re definitely missing out!”

“Well then let’s make them jealous for missing out.” She grabs her phone from the bar and raises it to take a selfie. She would pause before taking the picture to make sure they were okay with having their photo taken and uploaded to Instagram. “I was drinking cheap beer, but since it’s on Seth, I’ll have a gin and tonic too.” Leaning forward with a smile, she shakes her head at the thought of being on shark tank trying to sell a hangover cure. With her family’s luck, she’ll never make a score that big. “Why bother making the big bucks when we can continue using up all of Seth’s money?” 

once their drinks had been ordered, hansa returned to their conversation of shark tank and hangover cures. they guessed stella was lucky they weren't one of those prissy people who read too much between the lines — like their own mother was. otherwise, there would be a 'because you should be able to care for yourself' discourse coming. "dude, seth's gonna run dry someday." they replied, laughing softly. "plus, you're too hot to live off of cheap beer, you know? where's that sugar daddy to pay off your needs, girl?" hansa sure as hell could use a rich ass sexy lady who would want to pay off their expenses, but while that didn't happen, they were happy to use their art to pay their bills. it felt like all of their worries and the dehydration had been cured with that single gulp of liquid sugar going down their throat. granted, hansa knew they'd have to find something to eat, and, since now they could manage to think without feeling their sanity slipping away from their fingers, they rested their chin on their hand, then taking another big sip from that cold coca cola. "well, bright... since you come here a lot for them to bribe you with cold coca cola, how about you give me your honest opinion on which taco to get? i'll even be nice and buy you one." hansa bat their eyelashes, although they weren't certain it would work. they wouldn't even know what made men tick in the first place. for someone who travelled as much as juliette seemed to, or wanted the ones around her in the past, to believe she did, coming back to a dead-end town like siesta key for tacos was hard to swallow. it almost made hands roll her eyes and look at the other to insinuate she was taking hansa for a fool, but you know what? it didn't matter... in the end, it didn't matter. "i've been alright. you know, same old. inking people and breaking hearts." they teased. the first part was easier to believe, considering none of the times hansa had broken their partners' heart, it had been on purpose. "you staying for long? longer than tacos?" they teased. "where did you go this time?"

"I'm sure he'll come up with some random and better explanation tomorrow, but by then it'll be too late," Elena wasn't one to give people second chances, mostly because Lena herself didn't believe she deserved it back then. Yet, she wouldnt overthink about what happened and being rejected, because she already had attention. From someone that was really good looking. "See? The universe prepared us for this moment, it was meant to happen," she chuckled. "Okay, then one gin sour for Hansa and one mojito for myself please," her words were mostly directed to the bartender prior to her eyes reaching Hansa's figure again. "I'm Elena, you can call me Lena. I know you probably hear this all the time, but you have a beautiful voice."

a minor shrug of their shoulders later and hansa was able to figure out that, for sure, the person elena was waiting on wasn't a permanent sort of deal, which meant, they could maybe end up flirting their way to this beautiful person's bed. "like i said, it's their loss and my luck, because i get to share a drink with you and they're out there missing out." they chuckled, leaning in closer to let their hand brush slightly against the other's thigh, which, hadn't been planned, but it worked for hansa. "your next mojito is on me, elena." and hopefully something else too, but there were other ways of saying so. hansa loved compliments. they loved compliments as much as men loved having their fragile masculinity pet, so, hearing that elena had enjoyed their voice, they couldn't help but smirk. "i do hear it all the time, but it's even better when a hot person compliments me, you know?" hansa leaned onto their hand, watching elena for a moment. the woman's were so beautiful, they sparkled under the dim light. "i can also find lots of things to say about you and how gorgeous you are, but i don't want to seem phony or like i'm trying too hard. but like--you're very distracting. in a good way, of course... so let's talk about you. tell me something i should definitely know about you, lena."

hansa had said ‘thank you’ to the crowd about fifteen minutes prior and they were so amped up about the show that had just happened that it took them some extra minutes to head towards the bar area. “hi! mind if i sit here?” hansa asked the person who was sitting next to the empty seat they wanted to take. “i can leave in case you’re waiting for someone and they arrive.”

“Seat is all yours if you’re buying.” Stella flashes them a smile that says she’s just teasing. Buuuut if they want to buy the next round, she won’t object. Stella was low on cash and burning through her last couple of dollars on getting tipsy— or hopefully drunk. “I’m not waiting on anyone. My friend left. She couldn’t drink too much because of work, blah, blah, blah. I have a guaranteed hangover cure. I’d tell you what's in it, but then how will I get rich when I eventually sell it?”
