So, I drove up to a stop sign, and there were a bunch of farm animals fenced in by the road. I saw a goat staring at me and decided to record a video, but I forgot my CD was still playing.

You are my 3am thoughts, when I’m laying alone in bed. You are my 10 am thoughts, when I’m trying to get ready. You are my 2pm thoughts, when I’m taking a walk. You are my 5pm thoughts, when I’m trying to keep a smile during dinner. You are my 12 am thoughts, when I’m trying to cry myself to sleep.

You are my 3am thoughts, when the cycle begins again.

i am not black, but i hear you.

i am not black, but i mourn with you.

i am not black, but i see the injustice that you face.

i am not black, but i see the fear for your sons and your daughters. your brothers and sisters.

i am not black, but i will stand with you.

inaction is also an action. and i will not stay silent.

i don’t see your color. i appreciate and honor your color and your roots and experiences. you are valued and respected.
