max had a surprise day off and we had the house to ourselves iykyk and it was SORELY needed, immediately i said we need to be actually thinking about that when you book your PTO for the year lmao (not that that doesn’t happen at other times but all our bedrooms are at the end of the hallway together and we’re always tired etc etc)

mom keeps joking not joking about building a tiny house in our backyard and i am just breathing through it bc it’s not happening

mona is almost TWO 😭 her toddler monotone is so funny and she parrots everything, i’ll be like “ok get your shoes on it’s time for school” and she goes GET SHOES ON TIME SCHOO-WULL

bea is switching to a full on preschool in september and i’m so excited for her but also she’s done at 1:30 so that’ll be a transition 😬 nana did say she’d be down to pick her up for an adventure on thursdays tho so there’ll be that!

i should go to the gym but i have everyone’s daycare cold and i feel like i’ll need my energy

tomorrow bea is home, we’ll make & cut sugar cookie dough and go to costco. it’s halfway into december and we’ve had NO spiral cut ham??

thursday make a ginger snap or molasses cookie dough, maybe go to yarn store for evanne’s present, hopefully mail off olive’s by then

tonight is max’s b day present, a trip to the whiskey library, so after bedtime is no good. i was going to make stuff last night after bedtime but he wanted to hang out and i couldn’t say no

i suppose there is during the day friday but bea will be home and she’s been begging to do stuff as a whole family 🥺

then saturday is ruth’s party and i need to make something???? for that

idk what it is. i thought maybe it was alex’s birthday, or maybe the generalized Everything, but whatever it is i have to start doing something bc it’s not going away. been having frustrating bad body feelings (typically my first sign that something is up), sleeping even worse, tummy hurts frequently and i feel just bloated and yucky. still don’t have my period back post mona which feels like a bad sign, but she’s not fully weaned yet anyway. i’m impatient with the girls all the time! i know they’re at particularly weird/hard stages both of them, but it’s not what i want for them or for me. i’m out of a rhythm with them in general since mona dropped to one nap and the house is just destroyed all the time and it feels like it’s impossible to do anything.

i know i don’t eat great but i don’t eat THAT bad? i know i need to start working out again so i’m doing that. i know i need to stay busy and do something helpful, and i guess working 2 days and lasagna love once a month aren’t cutting it. i’ve been naturally drifting away from my phone which feels like a positive move? but i mostly feel tired and morose and unsettled.
