The girl asking the question had a strong accent and spoke quietly, so at first Tyler didnāt understand the question.
āDo you ship Sterek? Itās Stiles and Derek.ā
āOh, Sterek! Uhm, I will say this, and I mean, I know, Iām glad you guys actuallyā¦ Because I wanna say, I know thatās like a big, like, a fan fic thing, I know that everybody, kind of, kind of, everybody talks about that.
But for me, personally, just because I have so much respect for Derek as the character and for Stiles as the character thatā¦ for me, itās like, to live in that, or to really think about thatā¦ Iā¦ just for me, personally, as the actor playing the characterā¦ I feel like I would be disrespecting the character, so I donāt really entertain it, or even think about it, just because for me, itās such a separate thing, it hasā¦ it doesnāt really have anything to do with what happens on the show.
So because it doesnāt have anything to do with thatā¦ I guess I donāt have any thoughts on it, because, itāsā¦ to meā¦ Itās those characters are their own peopleā¦ Uhm.. And, so itās, itās not a, itās not disrespect, itās not anything like that. I understand, I donāt personally understandā¦ Itā¦ Completely. Um, I appreciate it. [laughter] You guys do what you wanna do. But to me itās just like, I see the characters for who they really, actually are in the show, so itās nothing to do with the work that I do. So thatās the only reason why I donāt really think about it.ā
