henrys toy box!

my fault for not looking into them more, but they are smaller than i thought??? and they have mini pockets in them that hide things, which is... something.

but what i am really upset about is that you can actually see what youre getting. the plush ears stick out of the top of the box (which ew, they can get so dirty.) but they dont have them here yet, so i got one online and got the one i liked the least. AND she has a defect on her right eye.

who on earth thought $20 was a good price for these. like seriously. almost the same price as a full monster high doll for a tiny plush keychain with holes in it.

also we have confirmation that magic mixies pixlings are dead. a representative said in an email that they are discontinued. what a shame. they were so refreshing and yet moose toys doubled down on the awful packaging and not coming out with simple box variants. im just missing the long hair ones but im in no rush to try and get them tbh.

she has survived my mothers trash hoarder house and two moves. she is one of maybe four things i still have from my childhood. she doesnt have her original dress but im just glad she is still here.

theyre nowhere near the $60 they cost though. all three mirrors did not work for me. i tried and did every step with all three and they all failed when the doll was supposed to swing out. only one of them displayed the talking face in the mirror. and now i have three huge plastic mirrors that dont work. i am glad that there is a way to put another doll in the mirror and that the mirror is a fortune teller. but it is a waste overall.

got these two girls in! my first two actual glam squad dolls. i considered also getting the TMNT one, but i just didnt vibe with her very much. i say first two actual dolls because i do own the three strawberry shortcake fashion packs theyve released. (i believe strawberry herself was not included because they were going to make a doll for her, but it never came out.) overall i think theyre cute, especially for $5. they capture the old licensed barbies i adored that were just fans of something, like the barbie loves shrek doll.

im still on the hunt for the fashionista fashion pack, as ive heard from others that they seem to be phasing the dolls out? idk how accurate that is, but i havent been to a physical 5 below in a while. im also on the hunt for the new dollar tree fashions, because ive seen the green dress and the workout outfit and they are so cute to me.

these guys all have unique head sculpts, which is neat! there are two body types, two wing types, and they all share the same tail.

this being in two halves actually is nice, because these first four were the originals to come out and got an ad on tv, but the next half are way more rare to find.

im starting with the illuminas series! this is part one of two, as you can only put 10 images in a post lol

i just completed this series, and frustratingly found out im only missing one krystal. i originally thought there were only two metal colors, but turns out most of them are slightly different. there are 4 head sculpts, 2 dragons per sculpt, and each sculpt has one translucent head and one solid colored head. there are two tail types, and three wing types. cycloneblaze has unique hands (though they are reused + sized up from another line.)

sorry for the bad lighting, but here is my dragon shelf currently. you can see 6/8 of the illuminas series dragons, the other two are in the box with all of the battlemorphs. ill eventually take more pictures, but this week has been really rough.
