Having to hide in a tight, enclosed space together on a stakeout

The classic trip-and-fall into each other, eyes wide and lips inches apart

Kidnapped and tied together. Bonus points if they have to pretzel themselves into awkward positions to try and get out of their binds

There was only one bed (of course)

Being mistaken as a couple while undercover. One of them starts denying it automatically, but the other one speaks brightly over them, playing along. Whoops! They’re fake-dating now for the rest of the case

Truth serum/virus. Connor blabs helplessly for an hour while Hank tries not to die. Or Hank slurs on and on while Connor tries to stay calm and collected enough to take care of him. Either way, it’s awkward as hell after the serum/virus wears off

Accidentally handcuffed together for an extended period of time due to the key getting lost/stolen. Connor having to stand on the other side of the shower curtain as Hank bathes. Sleeping on opposite ends of the bed. Connor yanking a cursing Hank along as he chases down a criminal. One of them becoming angry and/or disturbed at a crime scene and the other quietly taking their hand in the dark, squeezing gently.

Their friends all assume that they’ve been dating for at least a year. Hank chokes on his beer and Connor goes full yellow when the question comes up re: when they’re going to get engaged

Being stopped by street vendors who try and sell couples’ merchandise to them

“He’s not my boyfriend—”

“We’re just work partners—”

Near-death experience where, after making sure that they’re okay, the one who almost died rasps out a weak joke. The other one cuts them off by crushing their mouths together, before pulling away just as quickly.
