I'm excited for lots of things in LiP! I'm (desperately trying) to keep it short (at least compared to RS) but there's a lot I want to squeeze in.

There's a couple of new kinks I plan to bring in, but I don't want to put spoilers here. Let's just say Noah has a size kink and that's going to manifest in a couple of ways.

I have lots of thoughts about their birthdays, honeymoon, Christmas... Just Them in general. I miss them so much.

Gerard's 50th happened vaguely around the LA trip (I think, I'm not great with timelines) which is how it ended up getting missed. Frank would definitely want to rectify that. I imagine he'd want to do something Big, but Gee's not a party guy.

Knowing how much he likes dressing Frank up, I think Frank would take him out to dinner somewhere fancy where they can get all dressed up. If he could find an interesting talk or show about one of Gerard's interests, he'd take him there too.

I think he'd maybe book a nice hotel for the night, but the real fun would happen when they're back home and have all their toys to hand. I can also definitely see Frank bringing Gerard a birthday cake and singing him Happy Birthday, probably naked; and they'd both end up covered in buttercream.

As for Frank's birthday, that for sure would be a Halloween party. Frank hasn't forgotten his plan to dress as George Michael just to torment Gee; and I think Gee would be a classic vampire which would also torment Frank. They'd end up sneaking away in their own house just to get their hands on each other.

Their honeymoon I think would be an Italian trip, where they slowly explore one region to the next. Or maybe they'd just rent a little place hidden away from the main hustle and bustle, where they can be all over each other as much as they want.

All of these thoughts are ever changing, but that's where I am now. I'm toying with the idea of writing a few one shots in the RS verse, just because I love and miss them so much. But there's lots of other things I want to write first.

I'm afraid I'm not terribly helpful with sharing links or anything because most of my research was just topping up or confirming what I'd already learned over years in the community.

A lot of my 'research' was just browsing online stores for things like the glans rings, which aren't so common to see at my local market, and get a feel of what types are out there. I had a lot of fun "window shopping" online, and am endlessly inspired by the creativity out there.

I also have a couple of irl friends who go to our local dungeon often (whereas me and my husband are at-home people), so I would drill them all the time with questions about what it's like there and what you might see/engage in. There's a dungeon they go to that has an online walkthrough of the building, so I used that to explore the layout, and used a lot of that for the dungeon in RS (I'm wary to share the places local to me because ✨internet safety✨ but if you look up fetish or adult clubs/spas you'll surely find some).

Besides that, sounding was the main kink that I don't have any personal experience with. I've researched it in the past for other fics so had some theoretical knowledge, and I just topped that up using sites like UberKinky (look for their essential guides) which I found to be a helpful resource for clear, user friendly guides. They also sell products so it was handy to look at pictures of different toys/apparel.

It's maybe not as helpful for straight up research, but I'm going to mention it anyway - The Padded Cell podcast is a lot of fun and can be a good source of "oh, I've never considered that before" when it comes to kink.

(This one is more Frank as he's leaving Adam and just noticing Gerard)

(This one is more of Frank by the end. It's the obvious choice but it's too perfect to not include.)

Gee's song was way harder to choose. I just... I don't know 🥲 All I can think about when I picture Gee is 80s love metal or fun rock. Something a bit feel-good and unashamed. So, my best stab would be something by Def Leppard, either Make Love Like a Man, or (of course) Pour Some Sugar on Me.

I'm picturing Frank walking into the library, spotting Gerard, and just hearing something like that in his head whilst he internally drools.

The theme song for them as a couple is another obvious choice:

I just wanted to tell you that I’ve finished reading "Incubus" and...besides needing a few therapy sessions, I’m really happy there’s a sequel. It’s a truly excellent work!!

I’ll be back to comment once I finish reading "Angels"... if I don't die of angst first.

I'm so, SO thrilled to hear you've been writing and just chipping away at it. That's really all it takes, and you're doing it! 💜

I love that you're embracing this new style of writing for yourself. I sometimes notice mine changing (I even see it now with Life in Pink, and worry sometimes that I don't have enough dialogue) and it can make us feel doubtful and wobbly; but trust the process. If it's flowing, don't fight it trying to make it be something else.
