How a chair is made.
Designer Brandon Morrison shows us how a beautiful chair is made. Lovely!
Luca Barcellona: Legacy Of Letters
Another video that has been around for a while, but as I'm currently practicing my calligraphy skills a lot, I had to dig it out. Luca Barcellona is definately what you can call an exceptional graphic artist - he's got the flow. ;)
You'll find more of his beautiful work on his Website: www.lucabarcellona.com
The Swordmaker
As one of Japan's last remaining swordsmiths, Korehira Watanabe has honed his craft for 40 years while attempting to recreate the mythical Koto sword.
Many traditional craftsmen respond to modern times when handing down their craft. But the essence of tradition suffers in doing so. I think it is meaningless to carry on tradition that way...
Skateboard Shades
This video has been around for some time now, and some of you may have already seen it. Nonetheless it is definately worth showing here. Shwood combines two things that I'm passionate about: Handmade goods and skateboarding. The idea is to create unique sunglasses out of broken decks - a beautiful way to recycle something that seems worthless. Lovely!

straight outta jersey
Welcome to the wonderful world of Jules "straight outta jersey" Wenzel.
What others try to imitate by using 3D software, she creates with needle and threat. Beautiful little creatures and figures, all handmade with a whole lotta love!
She also started tattooing some time back, also bringing her own style to a new level and to your skin. Lovely stuff!
Check her Portfolio!

handwork'd.
Welcome to handwork'd.
I started this blog for one simple reason: To support handmade goods and their makers.
My way of doing this, is to show you the beauty of selfmade stuff in the form of videos, pictures, links and texts that shall keep you from forgetting about the beautiful things that human hands and minds can create.
Thanks.
