A teenager (or even a 20 year old) cannot buy cigarettes. But a parent can smoke in places where their toddler is forced to be.

What a teenager chooses is met with stricter scrutiny than what's forced on a very young child.

A parent can choose, enforce, mutilate and do whatever they so want with the child they feel entitled to. The sickness of ownership over another human, unable to have autonomy or control over your own fate, health, socialization, education and so on. Then, once you are no longer unable for them to control, you prove no use to them and are tossed out in expectations of greatness.

But if I ask why, if I cry, I’m talking back? If I question authority if I question everything, I am to be punished further, for merely existing, for wondering why this is what I and others are forced to be raised into.

And you wonder.. you wonder, why? Why are the children who grew so awkwardly into older flesh, act so strange.
