Being within the center of town was never an enjoyable time for those of Spear, the towns folk were mistrusting and usually only had negative things to say about the company that moved into their little town and brought strange faces among them. However things seemed to have shifted within town, since Spear had located those that had gone missing. The mood shifted and there was a divide of those who were thankful for the company and their resources, instead of someone knocking a coffee out of his hand in some ‘accident’ a stranger had actually stepped forward to purchase his coffee.
He was off rotation and therefore free for the evening, taking the time to pick up a private security detail watching over some Spear members looking to recruit some locals, drinking led to loose tongues which made convincing others the strange things they ignore were actually deeper rooted. He watched from afar in the dark corner ready to step in when needed, however a shadow loomed over the dim light he did have. “Need something?”

Destiny stared at the sword on her bed, her head buzzing. Not as much as it did with the migraines but since the snow storm, then her kidnap, they were the least of her problems these days.
Picking it up and hiding it in the bottom of her duffel bag, she threw her hoody on and headed out the door, heading towards the compound. As security approached her she sighed, raising her eyebrow. “I’m not sneaking around, you know me. I just came to see Leo, he said he might be free now?”
She stood and waited until she saw the man, hugging herself awkwardly. “Mom wanted me to come talk to someone, said I’m not coping with trauma or… something.” She shrugged, pulling her bag closer to herself. “I’ve been a total bitch about Spear’s beliefs for the past few years, just so you know. So I don’t really deserve the sympathy. Maybe a firm ‘I told you so’ at least.”
-
The Vega family was one he knew rather well, more so since Destiny’s father fell at the mines. Leo took it as a personal mission to ensure the teenager, her little brother and mother were alright. His job was to keep those within Spear safe and with those seven he had failed. It wasn’t much of a bother to ensure the family was well, he didn’t have one of his own to tend to which made it all the more simple.
The Spear compound was heavily secured, more so than usual and with the terrible snow storm the town was just hit with it was no surprise to many that they pumped up their numbers. Even taking in more of the locals to their cause since the news of Spear rescuing the missing in the last few days spreading. Hearing his men stopping someone, he knew who it was by the hoodie and bag and nodded his head to his men to let her pass.
He remained silent as she explained her showing up rather than resting at home and he gives a nod of his head before gesturing her to follow him. “I could throw a stern ‘told you so’ your way, if it will make you feel better.” He answers as they make their way through the compound, stopping at the entrance for him to scan his badge. “They don’t say ‘seeing is believing’ for nothing kid. We could play Spear propaganda nonstop for weeks and it doesn’t mean shit compared to seeing things firsthand.” He glances her way as they walk through the halls of the security wing, “And I wouldn’t think much of you for just blindly repeating back what you hear.”
[ Keanu Reeves, male, he/him ] whatever you think you know about LEO CAPRIS, the 52 year old, UNDISCLOSED, NEW COMER, it is likely time for you to start reconsidering. the rumored ENHANCED HUMAN is often described as TATICAL + FOCUSED, but don’t let them fool you; they can also be JADED + DOGMATIC, which often has them regarded as the THE RIGHTEOUS. they are a/an HEAD OF SECUIRTY at SPEAR INC, but it’s also said they are a/an SECURITY within the SPEAR INC. whatever you hear, you can’t deny there’s more to them that meets the eye, and it’s time we start uncovering the truth.
Leonardo Capris, was born to a nice couple who took him every Sunday to church and taught him to be a God fearing devote man. He took the matter rather serious even as a young boy, growing up to his teenage years he never missed a Sunday service, he was a choir boy despite feeling he wasn’t much of a singer. It was how God made him and he assumed it would be forgiven knowing it was done in praise. When he reached his teen years it was obvious that there was something off about the boy, his parents worried about him. The boy was gifted, in every way, he excelled at sports, to the point that even when he seemed to get hurt he was able to simply shrug it off. He out ran, threw, lifted and swam all his fellow athletes with ease, one day a man from the church came to visit Leo.
Taking the young man to the side he explained that God had a powerful and important mission for Leo, a path laid out just for him. What young man who prayed and worshipped every Sunday wouldn’t want to hear it wasn’t all for nothing? To this day Leo never learned the man’s name, only ever calling him Father. But the man trained him, in combat, in studies from far away lands, history, language, weapons and faith. He became a true warrior of heaven, eventually close upon reaching his eighteenth birthday Leo was finally told the truth about the world.
How the devil wasn’t the only danger that lurked in the dark, about monsters who attacked and preyed upon humanity. They mocked God and his creation and how Leo was going to be one of the few who protected God’s plan. That was the life in which the man live for decades, till he came across a woman. A woman that made him feel as if he had found heaven on earth, that drowned out the voice in his head telling where the next cleansing needed to be done. To the point that Father once again came to him, warning him that turning his back on the cause would only lead to pain and disappointment.
The warning fell on deaf ears as Leo kicked the man out of their home and told Father he never wanted to see him darken his door again, that he would take care of his new wife and have the life they wanted. And for a time they were peaceful years, Leo learned to give up his weapons, stopped looking over his shoulder for monsters lurking in plain sight. He made mistakes.
Coming home early one evening he interrupted his wife’s screams as she was attacked by a varied group of supernatural led by a demon. An encounter that almost took Leo’s life as well, turning household items into weapons to use against the supernatural. A couple of them fled before he could finish them all off, taking the time and using old debts he traced them each back. The last of his victims being the demon that led the whole thing, who assured Leo that they were led to his home by one from the otherside. The reason there were so many against one was because they expected it to be an enhanced human they faced, not a mere woman.
The news that Father had been the one to put his wife’s life in danger, that this Father was indeed an angel of Heaven whose grace had made Leo what and who he was. A weapon forged by Father’s hands and formed over the years, a betrayal in the making. This was when Spear approached him, filling in the gaps that Father had left empty, letting Leo know that he was always going to just a means to an end. Father couldn’t careless about him nor how he wanted to live his life only that he was meant to be used till he was useless.
Facing off with Father was a feat in itself, Spear offered their resources but this was personal and he had a point to make. The fight in church no less nearly cost him his own life, however using Father’s own angel blade he took down the angel and hasn’t put it down since. Rather he has taken up arms for Spear, who showed him the way. Supernatural were dangerous, that was obvious and the angels of heaven weren’t any less so because they like the supernatural thought themselves grander than humans as well.

Eve smiled at her comment “ I like that. I like the way you think,” she nodded. She closed her eyes for abit and sighed. “ I was actually banished,” she shrugged. Eve hated that she went out that way and was banished from the Garden of Eden. All because she listened to a snake that told her to eat from the forbidden tree. She hated that she ended up parting ways from Adam when things got bad. She missed em but at the same time she loved being alone and having her own kinda power. Not having to be Adams pet anymore.
“ He? Your boyfriend?” She asked before looking back out at the snow. Barely seeing a damn thing.
-
Her focus shifts from the snow back to the woman when the word banished was used, it wasn’t something she heard in everyday conversation. “Sounds harsh.” She mutters not sure how else to take something like that.
She then shrugs at the other’s question, “Not really.” She wouldn’t put that kind of label on it, Dimitri felt like more than just some silly boyfriend. He was a witch that she felt connected to like no other before. “Just someone who should be here.”
When Dimitri heard the knock at the bathroom frame he turned to look at her, water dripping from his head. Grabbing another towel from nearby he dried himself off as best he could, taking the wet cloth and cleaning the rest of the blood away before finally he grabbed the clothes.. “Thank you.” He whispered, turning to tug the rest of his clothes off and changed quickly.
Once he was dressed he moved to the bed in the room and laid down on it as he closed his eyes, his head still spinning.
“The storm outside is already getting worse.” He mumbled, opening his eyes and glancing out of the only window in the room, the snow already building outside.
-
Harper stood by in silence reading the room and Dimitri, she didn’t know much about having to kill, let alone taking the power of one’s sibling to kill their father. Saying the wrong thing seemed highly likely and she was unsure where to start. When he laid down on the bed she followed sitting near his head and running her fingers through his damp hair. “Deputy Marshall questioned me, see if a witch was responsible for it.”
“Is it? Or do you have communication issues?” Marshall tried instead of just scolding her comments away. Her observation about the Light Faye elders was beyond correct, but Marshall simply dismissed them with a shrug. Might as well leave the seed of curiosity there. After all, while Nadia probably didn’t understand what she had read, she had glimpsed through them—and she was a Banshee.
As Harper spoke, Marshall tilted his head. “But if witches were born from a Prince of Hell, doesn’t that make the magic not dark, but… yours? Or, at least, it makes all witch magic dark?” The deputy pondered. “… I feel like theres blanks that have to be filled.” Perhaps he needed to sit down with a demon and have a sincere conversation.
Marshall stared blankly when he was blame for the storm. “I can’t tell if you really think that or you’re mocking the Light Fayes’ prowess… it hurts either way.” He sighed. “I asked Lexi, but I’ll ask you too: think you can help with some protection spells? Salt barriers would be great right about now.”
-
“Oh communication, that must have been on your word of the day calendar.” She coos at him with a little smile on her face. For someone who was older than she could assume he was based on his looks, he wasn’t stuffy but he certainly didn’t take a great deal of time to greatly educate himself either which seemed a waste to her.
“I’m sorry, what now?” Harper gave the faye a raised brow look, demons and princes of hell weren’t something that her people were taught about the mere fact he said anything about it made her skeptical. “What the hell are you talking about? Seriously? Witches have been trying to get away from the whole ‘mistresses of the devil’ shtick for centuries.” Burning at the stake was nothing any witch wanted to have happen to them, even the poor women who were just helping their fellow villagers.
“I’m just saying, witches aren’t the only ones who could be behind this.” Harper wouldn’t point fingers without more information. “And this seems like something that could be a mistake.” She couldn’t think of a reason to make things so snowy unless someone fucked up a spell badly. She gives a shrug, “I guess, are you expecting some kind of avalanche?”
the banshee was walking around the hospital, making sure to give a couple of blankets to the people who seemed to need it. that storm appeared without letting people get themselves ready. at least not all of them. nadia was scared of all the people in there. she knew chaos came along with all that people locked in the same place. she wished if she didn’t have to announce anyone’s death. but that was what she wished most of her days when she woke up. each day was different.
the brunette was about to ask the blonde by the door if she needed everything when she was surprised by her voice. “ yeah, it’s strange seeing this town all covered in this much snow ” she mused. “ yeah, i guess i’m waiting for a couple of people ” she nodded, “ are you ? ” the nurse asked, “ is that way are you waiting by the door ? ”
-
Harper had to wonder how bad the mud was going to be once this was all thawed out and she could only imagine the wrecks happening and people getting caught in the goop. “I think everyone was looking forward to spring over a boosted winter.” She knew that she was getting sick of the sweater weather and chunky boots. She gives a shrug at the other posing her question back at her, “Its between watching who is coming and going or sitting around bored. I don’t like the smell of hospitals so the air is better here.” Her eyes went back out to the whiteout just feet from the door, “I think I keep seeing someone running around out there.” She couldn’t be sure if they were lost or just some idiot playing around in the snow.
“The only stupid question is the one that isn’t asked,” the deputy answered to her remark. “… That feels rude, but you’re right. If you ever read a Light Faye history book, however, you’d also know the ancients are lovers of the abstract and ominous, but hey, a lot of things are making sense now that I think about it.” Like witches being demonic… Harper was a Gremlin fed after midnight after all. “I mean, it was either a deal or I got married while intoxicated,” Marshall jested. “But I’m just asking since I was pretty sure you were born in a coven, maybe you’d heard anything.”
“… Don’t worry about it,” he said defensively, a little scared of how unexpectedly interested she was in his hypothetical but literal deal with a demon.
-
“That is something that is only said by stupid people.” She points out giving him a raised brow look. It must be something he used often while working to avoid being yelled at by the sheriff. “Pretty sure your elders won’t let me read any of your history books.” It was said with a mutter, as she sure as heck wouldn’t mind that, getting a glimpse of life from thousands of years ago. “Sounds like a raw deal for the other no matter which it was then.” Being stuck with Marshall had to be painful and if some demon wanted his help they might be in over their head. “I was born into a coven the forbids dark magic, I would assume by the nature of demons written in the bible. If we’re to take that as the source material, it would make them the very thing my coven stays away from.”
Watching him carefully she points to outside, “Was this you?” She raises a brow, “I won’t be mad.” She figured that it was something he would want to hear to get to fess up about it.

Eve nodded agreeing with her because of how bad it look, it’ll be a long while til anyone can even find her car. “ Yeah I know…but I can only dream and hope for the best until then,” she sighed. Then turned her body from looking out at the snow and leaned against the wall next to the door. She looked over at the woman with a smile “ Oh no, the garden is far from here. This would had never happen in the garden. Its always sunny and the flowers and trees are always blooming. I actually kinda miss it really,” she nodded before looking at all the helpless people. She covered herself up more with the blanket “ Are you waiting for anyone?
-
“I thrive in a world of fact over dreams and hopes.” Harper answers, it was a fact that this storm couldn’t last forever, it was also a fact that people acted strangely when they believed their lives were in danger. It was a matter of time before tension raised even higher. “Sucks you left then.” Harper didn’t mind the snow so much but this wasn’t just a usual snow storm this was bigger than that she could feel it even if she couldn’t prove it, yet. “No.” She answers a little too quickly, “Not really, I mean. Just making sure that he doesn’t stay out there.”
As Harper spoke Dimi knew it was true, he had killed Sebastian, he was his covens leader now. He was in control. The thought was as exhilarating as it was terrifying. “I know… I know..” He whispered, pulling her closer as Harper cloaked them with a spell allowing them to walk through the halls of the hospital unnoticed.
“Here.” He said softly, guiding them into an empty room, once inside he pulled away and moved to the small bathroom inside the room, tugging off his shirt he tossed it into the corner as he turned on the sink and immediately grabbed the hand towel off the wall, running it beneath the water.
Immediately the basin turned crimson, his hands shaking as he wet the cloth, he began scrubbing at his hands, before lifting the cloth to his face to wash away the mixture of ash and blood. When that didn’t work he shoved his entire head beneath the running water, trying to get himself clean at any cost.
Pulling up he he began staring down at a mixture of his blood, his brothers, and Sebastian’s all now mixed into one and spilling down the drain.
-
She wasn’t sure what this meant for the two of them, they had plans but she wasn’t so sure they would move this quickly. With him the new leader it was only a matter of time till she was confronted by her coven leader and given a choice. Though in her mind it was not much of one, stay with a coven that looked over her, parents that cared more about the coven than her.
Taking him into the room he gestured to she made sure that it was empty before she dropped the spell that cloaked them. While he pulled away to get to the rest room she locked the door and made sure the currents were drawn to keep any outside eyes from prying. With water running she decided to take the time to slip out spelling the door behind her so no one could enter and interrupt. Finding the lost and found wasn’t difficult, finding things that were clean enough for Dimi was a little rougher.
However on her way back to the room she found a supply closet open with some PR sweats for the hospital, likely for staff which she had no issue swiping, who could say anything? Knocking lightly on the bathroom frame she gestures with the pile of clothes in her arms, “Not the best but reasonable pull given the situation.”
Eve had been bundled up in a blanket from being stuck outside for a bit too long. She was still freezing cold and shivering abit, getting abit warmer underneath slowly. She walked up the front door next to a woman to get a glimpse of outside’s terrible weather. She shook her head as she listened to her speak, wishing soo badly it was warmer again. “Honestly, I should’ve stayed in the garden. Its always much warmer there. Never too cold. It’s the perfect temperature always,” she lightly smiled out at the violently falling snow, thinking about the garden of Eden. She then looked over at her after hearing her question, then shook her head quickly. “ Oh no…no, Im just waiting for it to finally stop soo I can get my car fixed and finally go back home,” she sighed before looking back at it.
-
Harper stared at the woman next her like she was a moron cause in Harper’s view staying in some garden right now would be the stupidest thing anyone could do. Even a greenhouse wouldn’t be a great place to stay for long, food wouldn’t last, getting snowed in would suck. “Yeah you’re gonna be waiting a long time, you should find somewhere the least bit comfortable to claim. No one is gonna be going out fixing anyone’s car for a while.” Harper had to say that the storm was gonna last at least the day if not longer which was all the more strange. “Your garden is gonna have to wait, if it even survives the storm.”
Looking up at Harper when she touched him, the blood had already began to dry around his mouth and nose, as he blinked tiredly up at her. “I’m okay… I just.. I used a lot of magic.” He groaned, using what was left of his strength to help push himself up so she didn’t have to drag him off the floor herself.
As they left the shop he kept his arm around her, “I killed him, Sebastian. He took Niko from me… I absorbed my brothers magic and used the power boost to kill him.” He said softly, looking over at her. “He’s gone now, Harper.”
-
Harper wasn’t going to go into the lecture of using too much magic, Dimi wasn’t an idiot, he knew the risks and right now it wouldn’t be helpful to him at this moment or even herself. “Jesus, Dimi.” She shakes her head at the situation but was glad that he at least made it to her before the storm took full force.
Listening him talk about the death of his brother and him killing the invading coven’s leader, it was a lot to take in on the trip. The wind was cutting through her clothes to her bones and the snow was starting to turn to sharp drops of ice. “Dimi that means you’re your coven’s leader.” In his brother’s death that gave him the bump in power he needed to take over. Once the hospital came into view Harper muttered a spell under her breath making them cloaked to walk by unnoticed into the lobby and through the doors to the halls.
Dimitri had made his way from the church all the way to the occult shop, halfway along his journey the ice cold wind had started up and the first flurry started, Pushing his way inside Dimitri stumbled and fell against the counter, grasping onto it with a bloody hand, smearing crimson across the wood.
“Harper…” He called out weakly, blood had already soaked into his shirt, staining the fabric. Taking a shuddered breath he sank to the floor, his eyes falling shut as he tried to stop his head from spinning.
-
Harper was grabbing things and stuffing them into her bag when the front door to the shop opened, “Ah yeah we’re closed, there’s a massive storm coming if you haven’t noticed.” She called out as she came to the front of the store closing her bag when she noticed Dimitri falling to the floor. “Christ.” Making her way over she sunk down and looked the fellow witch over, “What the hell Dimi?” She carefully touched him trying to figure out where the blood was from and if it was his not to hurt him. “We can’t stay here.” She lets out a breath and drapes one of his arms around her neck, “Come on, I have to get you to the hospital, everyone is headed there.”

Harper’s usually did not change from annoyance, yet she still managed to take the Light Faye through an emotional rollercoster whenever they did speak. She was still his best friend, so it was quite often… albeit for short period of times and Harper might disagree with the label Marshall used. All the same, the deputy rolled his eyes when Harper mentioned vampires’ diet. She had a point, but that was irrelevant.
As Harper finally changed from annoyed to slight insulted, Marshall almost took a step backwards out of shock. “… You never answered my question,” Marshall noted after Harper’s assumptions were detailed out. “But, you know what? Maybe.” He shrugged. “Because I sort of think I made a deal with a demon, but I’m not all that sure, but if you’ve never heard of such thing… maybe I was just drunk,” he tried playing it off. “You know how it can be at the stripclubs.” He wasn’t so sure he wanted to be the one to tell Harper about all that jazz if she really was unaware… maybe Kayla would help break it to the local coven.
-
“That’s because your question is stupid.” She answers pointedly, as if it wasn’t something that anyone would answer, least of all herself. She raises a brow at the Faye, “Shouldn’t you know if that is a real thing? Your people are like older than dirt.” She figured that if anyone could know about demons or the like it would be the ones who lived longer than most. “So in other words, you’re asking if I would side with demons while you’re out here thinking you made deals with one?” She questions crossing her arms over her chest, “What kind of deal?” The curious nature of her couldn’t help but ask.
Harper’s hostile words weren’t unexpected, but they still hurt. In fact, Marshall almost just turned around and walked into the blizzard… where it was warmer. Instead, however, Marshall smiled through the pain and even chuckled. “Following orders isn’t always bad,” was the best he could come up with.
“The Sheriff and the upper ranks are the ones in charge,” Marshall corrected at Harper’s observation. Unless things were sideways and they needed scapegoats, it would always be the upper ranks in charge. The Light Faye was meant to be patrolling, but took it upon himself to help those around them—while looking for known faces he was worried about. “Low blow, Sabrina,” Marshall pointed out with a furrowed brow.
However, as Harper guessed what her coven was doing, Marshall tilted his head slightly. “I see… Hey, Harp, I got a question, who would you side with in a battle: demons or the town?” he asked casually. After all, could witches truly be ignorant of their roots? Had they played them all and kept the secrets to themselves?
-
“Well that’s good at least, people might actually stand a chance.” Harper hadn’t seen Marshall fail terribly as a cop but something about his careless demeanor about being serious made her certain that with him in charge of anything someone would end up bleeding out just feet away from a perfectly trained staff of medical personnel. “How original.” She mutters rolling her eyes, “I’m just stating the obvious, than again with his diet it might be better that he’s not locked in with a bunch of people.”
She frowns deeply at the question, “What kind of freaky question is that? Some kind of backwards way of asking if I would be the school shooter in this town? If you’re trying some new interrogation technique you need to get back to the books cause it sucks.” She wasn’t even sure where the hell he was going with it but the nonsense of demons even being an idea was silly even for Marshall standards. “Or is some kind of come to Jesus moment? I didn’t take faye for religious zealots but I guess it had to come from somewhere.”
