The words felt slow, taking their time to carve through Caesar’s mind, heightening his conflicted emotions. He turned his gaze upward, locking it with Joseph’s blue hues, and suddenly he could feel how scared Joseph truly was. In return, the blond felt his own fear creep up from within, making him appear more defensive.

❝That’s… T-that’s absurd! Why would you miss something like that!? And I’m not—! I’m not…❞

He was always displaying conflicting emotions.. but Joseph felt more confused than ever. What was going on with him? Why was he acting like this? This only seemed to peeve the young Joestar even more.
