A continuation on ‘Gods’ from my previous post. Lesser Gods: Are gods that have either ‘ascended’ or ‘deified’. One is the result of the ‘Elder Gods’ making someone into a lesser god, usually for their deeds or talents. This is ‘Ascension’ and is usually given to those whose ‘art’ or ‘craft’ defines them, and doesn’t generally give them any power, but the gods do take notice of those who ‘create’ particularly the god of chao. An so will raise up those they feel are deserving, though such an event is in fact, incredibly rare as of more modern times as most ‘positions’ are filled. Whilst ‘Deification’ is the results of someone with incredible power hitting their limit and then breaking past it. While this destroys their physical body temporarily, it does allow them to experience a state of omniessence. Though they can also return to the material plane in the form of an avatar, lesser gods have to be careful as there have been legends of god-killer weapons an the like entering the material plane. Though unconfirmed as of the time being. Demi-Gods: These are mortal beings who managed to break past the limit of power but instead of releasing themselves from their mortal bodies they focused their power to maintain it long enough to raise maintain their new limit. Though they are in a sense much like lesser gods in terms of power, they are still very much mortal and can be killed. Though this is just has rare as for any other deity, though it is more likely has when a lesser god’s avatar ‘dies’ their conscience merely returns to a state of omniessence. Whereupon if a demi-god is killed, it’s much more permanent.

Now, we start at the ‘top’ of the food chain. 

In the Nexus AU, the gods are very active beings bestowing blessings, taking form has avatars an even losing or ascending.

Too start, there was/is a singular god that created the universe, but has since become silent, they are simply known as ‘Deus’, and various other simple names depending on the race and/or faction. Nothing is known other then the children he left behind an that they/it started and set the founding rules of the universe. 

These Elder Gods are chiefly named after attributes they bless others with. Their chief tasks are watching over mortals and the lesser gods,while remaining has impartial an uninvolved as possible. As opposed to Lesser Gods who are much more likely to take on avatars and to become involved in worldly affairs.

Ahnyx, God of Strength and Endurance: Ahnyx is the third eldest of the gods, is a stoic but compassionate god who generally does bestow his blessing on those in times of need. Or curse those who abuse their power. 

Mariam, God of Vitality/Constitution: The fourth sibling and one of the most active of the gods, compassionate and naive to a fault. She looks to help many mortals.

Eins, God of Intellect and Wisdom: A quiet and solemn god, the fifth is the least active of the elder gods and is generally very watchful of what is happening though rarely does anything has he sees the involvement of the gods with mortals as a precarious system.

Zeandra, God of Dexterity and Agility: The quintessential trickster sibling. The sixth sibling, playful and always looking for something to amuse themselves with, though they take their responsibilities seriously and generally is found hanging out with Beld and Laviktz.

Beld, God of Order: The second oldest sibling, was born shortly after Laviktz and is also Laviktz favorite sibling. Beld helps Lavikts and usually helps clean up after or organize Laviktz creative efforts. 

Laviktz, God of Chaos: The oldest of the siblings, was there to help contain and orchestrate the chaos the followed the beginning of creation. They were the first and last to interact with ‘Deus’ before their disappearance.

This is an intro post of a series of short written stuff I have been meaning to do for a long while.

The Nexus, What is it?:

The Nexus is an alternate universe in which the earth ended up forming into a much larger planet and with having a larger exposed landmass compared to our version. Some key factors in relation to this planet are has follows. 1. Magic and Science co-exist and have in various instances been merged to function together. 

2.This universe is a ‘crossroads’ point in reincarnation, when you die in another universe, your soul can be reincarnated in this world with fragments of your past life’s memories, skills or inclinations. 

3. The world is currently in a complicated point, where technology has actually come to the point of nanites, cloning, lasers, etc. But only a single country is known to have access to it, and it is a very strict bureaucratically paralyzed country.

4. Most of the rest of the world is currently in a phase of early 2000′s to 1800′s technology, though there is one country/faction that use nothing but magic and more ‘natural’ means. 

5. There are gods, goddesses, demi-gods, angels, devils and demons. Religion has some basis of power in this world, but they are bound by rules that are unbreakable.
