I will try to explain it as best I can (> <)U

1 Sketches :The first thing I do is draw sketches of poses. I draw many to choose one among many.

2 Character’s body :Once I choose my sketch start defining the character's body.To add muscle it is very important to have knowledge in anatomy, in this way you can define what parts of the body will have muscle (such as arms or legs).

3 Definition again :The style that I use is totally different from the original style of the game. I like to add more details and muscle mass to the characters.Again, it is important to know anatomy because you can "divide" the body so that it looks like a doll.

4 Definition 2.0 :I like to detail certain parts of the body, so that it looks "turned" (Without exaggerating).Once the body is defined I proceed to add the clothes.

5 & 6 Lineart and color:Finally I "detail" the body a little more and proceed to delineate and color.

I am not good at explaining tutorials but I hope this can be useful.

First of all it is always good to have guides and references, I mean that you need to study and seek expert tutorials (I do it all the time to improve). In the first drawing it will be clear that there is no coherence when drawing a cape, in this case the Hornet's cape.

There is an exaggeration of folds in the cloth

In this second drawing, what I do is draw the base of the cape, in that way, something like a “plain” garment without folds remains. For that I draw a kind of "infinity symbol" that helps me give movement to clothes. Once I do that, I mark small “squares” that will form the folds of the cape, I do it following the “infinity” drawing I made at the beginning. Something that I mark next is an “Exit Point”, that will give me direction in wich way the cloth will move on depending on the character's movement.

You must take into account the direction of the movement to know in which direction the garment will move, that will help to make your drawing more dynamic and easier for you when drawing.

It is important to know different types of fabric, since some tend to have more folds than others, that will depend on each fabric and how you draw them.

The last numbers are examples I made using that technique, I hope you can serve as a reference.

I'm not very good at drawing capes or clothes, I still have to practice a lot but I hope this can help you practice!
