This piece, conceived during painful exchanges last Valentine’s Day and now a year in the making, illustrates the feelings of deep inadequacy and consistent lack of care or reciprocation that I experienced in my previous relationship.  All of the candy hearts were saved from the box that I picked through exactly one year ago.
