I'm Only Here For The Food

Please send your prayers and positive vibes to my baby Love Gun. I took her to the vet and they told me that something we’ve joked about for years (her back legs) is more serious than we knew. 

It turns out that it’s either a neurological issue (the front half isn’t communicating with her back half) or she has a degenerating disc in her spine. 

I can’t find out which one it is because I can’t afford an MRI to find out so all I can do is give her steroids and pain medication because she started limping so bad that she has to drag her hind leg when she walks sometimes. I have to walk out for paralysis and I canNOT tell you how scared I am and how much I hate myself for not taking her in sooner. 

I’ve been a mess for the better part of the month. 

Yeah, I'm loving her. She's really funny and there's definitely something there between her and Mel. I don't know where they're going but Mel did tell Ruby she's interested in Roxie (not by name of course but...) so there's a genuine connection but I do wonder what this means for Mel and Ruby. Right now it seems like they're genuinely moving on from each other and that might be the case.

When I was catching up I posted about my frustrations with how disastrous they've written Mel's love life and I was told by a fan that the writers said Mel would get yet another new love interest (bringing her to a solid FIVE) but that they also knew the actress who plays Ruby was still posting from set so they were confused. So I think this makes sense if Ruby is around as a recurring character working at Safe Space and in Mel's life as they try to be friends while Mel and Roxie are being explored.

The most promising thing Mel ever had was what she had with Ruby. I'm very shocked to see Ruby still in the picture and now being centered in Mel's world by working at Safe Space. I'm hoping the season ends with them back together. Considering they worked so well together, Ruby was there through the most difficult moments we've seen her go through, she was ready to raise a baby with Mel and Mel proposed to her, I'd like to think the writers are ultimately invested in them and that's why Ruby is still around, unlike literally EVERY other love interest Mel had who was just thrown away.
