“I… sure didn’t.” Cujo admitted with a shrug of his shoulders. His cheeks started turning a rosy shade of pink as he grinned down at the other. He let out a pleased hum. “Yer a camera, right? Every time I look at ya, I smile.”

"hey... listen..." He's come back earlier from his 'work' than usual, ink stains on his fingers. He looks almost nervous. "it's been a little while since you-- um. i mean, do you wanna go get some real food somewhere else? m'sure you're getting sick of my burgers and fries and instant noodles, and, um." Sansy looks up, sheepish. "like... now?"
Cujo raised a curious brow, his gaze drifting over the other skeleton monster. Going somewhere else to eat sounded like a pretty good idea to him. He stood up from his spot on the couch and approached Sansy, grabbing one of his hands and squeezing it tight.
“Sure. Lead th’ way.”

“…a sans?”
There’s a soft huff of nervous laughter behind that, but he’s serious. Sanses are not the most stable of monsters. They’re prone, he’s found, to suddenly snapping and doing crazy things– things most other monsters would never imagine. They’re catalysts. And he’s no exception.
“listen, i’m– i’m not gonna say it was th’ right thing to do… but i don’t hate you. i’m not scared or anything. cujo… shhh. it’s gonna be okay.”
“just hang on to me for a minute… listen to your breathing, or mine– you’re going to get through this. you’re not like the rest of them. would the rest of them be so kind to me? would they have told me somethin’ they were afraid to say?”
Sansy presses a little nuzzle into the other monster’s shoulder, voice gentle.
“you’re not like anybody. and still good despite it all… you’re gonna be ok.”
Cujo held onto Sansy as he listened to him speak. He felt himself calming down a bit, his shoulders slumped. He wiped away his tears and let out a quiet sigh of relief; Sansy wasn’t afraid of him. He didn’t hate him.
“... thanks.” He finally piped up again after just... sitting here and listening to the other. It felt like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders. “For everythin’. Y’know, if it wasn’t for ya helpin’ me out when y’ did... I’d probably be dusted by now.”
He held onto Sansy and drew in a deep breath. “... ‘m not used to this. To kindness. To bein’ treated fairly. So... yeah. I’m really glad that ‘m here with ya.”

Pressed tight to Cujo, Sansy still didn’t say much save for a few mumbled words of apology that he murmured into the other skeleton’s shoulder. He just kept holding on. He could do that. And he really needed to ground himself again.
“shhh. it’s okay. don’t cry, love. i shouldn’t have run off– m’sorry–”
A few more soft breaths. He was entangled hopelessly in the other skeleton’s arms now, unmoving and eyes shut. It was going to be okay, he repeated in his head. He would figure out a way to deal with this, like he did with everything else. He’d keep Cujo safe.
“you’re going to be all right. i’m so sorry. shhh… please…”
Sansy followed his gaze back to his own face and he blue stains on his cheekbones. Oh. He wiped them off on the shoulder of his own coat, smiling unsteadily; why did he have to start crying? Stupid. Crying made everything worse…. He sniffed the last of the choked-up tone out of his voice.
“i shouldn’t’ve– mmm, y’don’t need to look at me like that. see? i’m fine. not your fault. i just thought of something else and it made me cry… it’s nothing…”
….Unconvincing, but he tried. He still didn’t want to let go of the red alt’s shoulders.
“i- i don’t know– i’m just glad you’re still safe, cujo.”
“I-I-I had t’ tell ya. I-it was weighin’ on my mind, I-I just figured y’ needed t’ know why monsters from my timeline are after me. Y’ deserve t’ know. H-heh, guess I’m turnin’ out like th’ rest of ‘em after all...”
Cujo sniffled, leaning against Sansy. He wanted to stop the tears from falling, but he just... couldn’t stop. “Y-yer glad ‘m safe? R-really...? E-even though I did somethin’ terrible like that?” What a relief... still, he felt like a horrible creature.
“I-I didn’t mean to!! H-he just... kept on antagonizin’ me a-and threatenin’ me and beatin’--” He sighed and shook his head. “... h-he was my brother. I-I never hated him for what he did... a-and yet I snapped. W-what kinda creature does that...? Just murders their own kin?”
