I think it should take longer to make tv shows and movies. I think shooting days should be shorter. I think AD's lives should be longer. I think we shouldn't have to be in a goddamn rush all the time. I think we should have the time it takes to make good art. I think fans should wait even longer than they do and be happy that everyone who made the art is getting full nights of sleep.
Honestly there’s too much media for anyone to possibly consume all of what gets produced. I would rather the content I consume be produced well.
I remember someone saying “But what about kids in the show, they’ll grow in between seasons”--FINE! tHEY ARE KIDS! KIDS GROW. MAKE TIME SKIPS. MAKE UP EXCUSES! CAST ANOTHER KID AND LET THE AUDIENCE HAVE SOME SUSPENSION OF DISBELIEF! KIDS DESERVE A GODDAMN LIFE TOO, ESPECIALLY ACTORS, SO THEY DON’T GROW UP AND HAVE AN EXISTENTIAL CRISIS WHEN THEY’RE WHOLE LIFE HAS BEEN WORK BEFORE THEY’RE EVEN OLD ENOUGH TO VOTE!
Not to mention the whole industry, and some fans, are super creepy and predatory to the point I almost don’t want children in any media. Counting down to when child stars are “legal” (gross af, anyone who does that should go to jail); blaming kids for choices the writers, directors, or producers made; saying kids ruined a show or movie because they can’t act when they’re like 7; industry workers trying to keep growing kids looking young; putting them in vulnerable situations; the predators in the industry--I could go on.
I want QUALITY content, not rush jobs, and I want everyone involved, old and young, to be safe and physically and mentally healthy.
