Sterek cuddles

This was supposed to be for Sterek Week, but I ended up on an unexpected hiatus from Tumblr.

And California never felt like home to me Until I had you on the open road and now we’re singing

Stiles and Derek decide to leave Beacon Hills together, after the last fight left them too scarred and broken to stay there. They don’t talk about what happen; when the sun is up, they scream and they fight, at every turn and stop they make. And when the night falls, they dance around each, avoiding the inevitable intimacy that comes with sharing hotel rooms that look just as in pieces as they do, as well as their time.

me: 

just imagine crisp fall air breezing in through the window while the sun sets, smoke disappearing before it reaches the ceiling, warm mouths and hands and bodies all over each other… yeah. i just needed to draw some lazy autumn evening stoner sterek. 

i swear, since my first little venture into this whole idea over two years ago, i haven’t been able to stop developing my au versions of these characters and can’t imagine i’ll ever stop drawing them. it will likely be the death of me. but that’s okay.

also, when i was almost finished drawing the first panel, i realized how similar it was to an older drawing i had done (also a stoner au piece). i laughed at myself for my redundancy, but it’s also kinda fun to see how much my fanart style has developed over the year. so i ain’t mad.
