Probably a Lukewarm take, but this needs to be said: I Absolutely HATE ppl who say "it's just fiction! Itβs not real! I can like this!" When it comes to problematic shit like liking a rapist character, or being proship, a show that glorifies real life situations like this, or simping for a character that looks like a child but is actually β7000 years oldβ (aka a l0l!) because at the end of the day, all those things are based in real life. And shouldn't be glorified. Fiction or irl. Even if you like said character but donβt like their actions, at the end of the day that character still indulges in those actions. So imo thatβs still just as bad. I can NEVER. excuse rape, pdfls, or z00s. Idc if itβs fictional or not. While yes Iβd say you can like how the character was written, because some creators do write abusers good. Aka realistic, so liking that Iβd say is ok, but liking the character itself? Iβd say no.
