Let's play a fun fucking game and rewatch season one of Chicago PD. Or any season from 1-8 (9 started to slip and 10 is a big fuck you.) This is not Jay Halstead. Jay Halstead, seasons 1-8 were always him going head to head with Voight because he didn't agree with his ethics or morals. Season 9 really grappled with that. Now we're here? Jay is suddenly Voight 2.0? Leaving his WIFE, who he would 'follow anywhere' home alone? This is insulting to Jay as a character, Jesse as an actor and us as viewers. Yes, this is just a show. But a show that actors have spent years of their lives on and years of viewers watching, loving, laughing and crying to.

This is the assassination of Jay as a character and it hurts. All the growth he's done over the last 9 seasons just got choked out. I'm angry and I do not like this. (Clearly)

Now, onto Jay and Hailey. Jay would not willingly leave Hailey, I refuse to believe it. This man has gone through hell for her and vice versa. They are eachothers person. Their entire partnership is built on trust and communication and suddenly that's been abandoned. For what? For Voight? The same man who has abused his power, his team, manipulated everyone and gotten away with everything? That Voight? The same Voight Jay fought against since the beginning of this show? That's so incredibly disappointing.
