it SUCKS when u get into something (in this case, a show, and some of u already know which show i mean just based on what i post on my main) and u know someone u care about a lot would love it too

but then they don’t, like, give it a chance really at all

it’s one of those things where it means so much to me to have it to share with them and ofc i don’t want to pressure anyone into anything. but i also don’t want it to be seen as “just a phase” or a hyperfixation or anything. it very quickly hit me in some sort of void i didn’t rly know i had and made me have a lot to look forward to and enjoy and of COURSE it’s not like this will fit with everyone, sometimes it just isn’t the right genre or the topic is meh. but i really thought my gut instinct was right about this, especially when trying to share it with someone ive known and spoken to pretty much every other day for like.... close to 7 years

i dunno. i kind of feel like i got put thru a wringer and while obviously some things aren’t for everyone and/or they make a bad/mediocre impression when u start it.... like i feel like im gonna be missing out on something special now cuz i won’t be able to share this thing with them

so i’m bummed

but i won’t obviously pressure them or anything. it just was a big letdown. i kinda hung my hopes and expectations on being able to share this with them and now i gotta reevaluate. personally if someone really wants me to check something out, i do, pretty substantially, and not just the first 1% lol

i do have other friends now who know how much it means to me and are giving it a chance with me, who have the same tastes, so that does make me feel a bit better, and even if they don’t enjoy it as much as i do at least they’re humoring me a bit.
