The Death of the Children
when i first saw Hood die--and the several times i replayed this scene before actually getting the freecam mod--i thought she got ripped apart because the sounds you hear during it CERTAINLY make it seem that way. but that isn't what happens.
Hood is dragged by the back of the neck, bitten on the head and flipped around underneath the Lamb, and then lifted (still by the head) to be swallowed whole.
despite not being ripped apart like i thought, i still think she might have gone out the worst simply because of how small the Lamb is at this point. she is being squeezed down its esophagus, surely too big for something so small, and yet she's forced into it anyway. she's getting crushed, and she's asphyxiating.
she is also the only one to scream as she dies.
Bucket actually does get chomped on pretty hard by the Lamb, both on the legs and then the belly.
he also slams his head on the ground when he's grabbed, so good thing he's wearing that helmet!
because it bites him right in the stomach (or, rather, the back, since it doesn't have upper teeth), he very well could have died from blood loss or organ damage. but more likely, he asphyxiates inside the Lamb, as he, too, is swallowed alive.
now, the Lamb has grown its arms, so it doesn't have to choke him down. this time, when it grabs its prey, it pushes him into its mouth and down its throat. like it's rushing to eat and run away. but it still doesn't chew, just swallows whole.
it also fully unhinges its jaw to eat him.
he goes the quickest- scooped up and swallowed whole. no fight, no resistance.
it's quite interesting to me how they all go the same way- swallowed whole. swallowed alive.
the Lamb itself was born alive from the mouth, kicking and screaming.
and now it takes its creators back the same way. forcing them down into its stomach where they will struggle and beg to be let out. just like it had within the Girl.
