🎹 – “Oh, I don’t really want to mingle with them.” he says softly, casting a gaze around the room. “They like to talk more about me than to me.” He sighs. Everyone in this room wonders about Winston Frost’s untimely passing and how it happened right after Christian was released from the facility where he’d been held most of his adult life. Most of them think that Christian did it… which is the truth, but Emma ensured that no one could prove that. “But if you want to mingle… please, I wouldn’t want to keep you.”   

“Always perfect? Sounds like someone I know~” Gina did like compliments, but how could she not? She was indulgence itself, and what was more indulgent than that? 

Other than her indulging Maddy of course. The fact that each bite would be damn near erotic, the fact that they would only make it easier to slip into those urges to just consume from how good they were… That was all part of the experience. Maddy might not think she’s getting spoiled, but it’s likely to be near impossible to resist…

As the food keeps coming, Gina goes back to massaging her lover’s neck, her fingers seeming to know exactly how to make Maddy’s muscles feel good. “Nothing wrong with not being responsible sometimes~ And besides, I think you’d enjoy it~” 

"Very subtle." Though if Gina were subtle with her compliments, it wouldn't be her, so it's not as though Maddy can be bothered by it.

She sighs; Gina is, admittedly, very good at making her feel better in general. She even finds herself actually relaxing, just a little, as she takes her first bite.

🌋 – He’s right, of course. She was so young when she made those mistakes, and she matured a lot in part thanks to them. Them, and her friends. She blushes faintly when he catches her wrist again, and tugs her along. She goes with him, as she wants to play that game with him. 

“Popcorn? Stashed? You know I only like it freshly popped…” she pouts, and she warms her hand just enough to remind him how she has the ability to pop it at a moment’s notice. She doesn’t want to burn him, she never wants to hurt him. “I’m only ok with it if it’s still in kernels.” 

"What? Oh, yeah," he says blankly, and grins sheepishly, free hand shuffling his hair back out of his face. "I meant in kernels. It'd be pretty gross if I just kept already-popped popcorn around, huh?" Probably something he would've done without noticing when he was younger, though. That's embarrassing to think about.

🌋 – She wraps her arms around his neck, burying her face against his torso as they hug, basking in his affection and comfort. “If you know they care…” she murmurs softly. If he knows they care, then they care. She trusts his perception of their friends. 

She sighs and burrows her face against him, she doesn’t want to pull away. She wants to feel his body against hers, even platonically. “Thanks, Doug. You always make me feel better.” She smiles and pecks his cheek. 

                 "But I didn't do anything," he says automatically, smiling at her. His cheeks heat slowly, a familiar feeling; Doug has never been very good at handling any physical affection, and even less so when it had anything to do with Amara, though in his defense most people would be more awkward when it came to a pretty girl.

“Done~” Gina lets the smaller girl pull her down and closer; honestly, this playfulness was good. Maddy was always more playful when she was in a good mood; it was the surest sign that things were improving. 

“Well, how about we start by you giving me feedback on my food?” Were plates of pancakes floating towards her? Yes. Were they going to be great? Obviously. Gina never did anything halfway. And Maddy absolutely needed pampering right now. 

“You know, if you let me, I’d spoil you for hours~” 

                “Please, like you need my feedback. You know it’s always perfect. You just want compliments.” She gives Gina’s hair another tug before letting go, attention drawn away by the incoming pancakes. As much of a pain in the ass Gina can be, she really can’t deny that it’s kind of nice to have instantaneous, delicious food without having to do anything herself. 

🎹 – “I’m very fancy,” he chuckles, it’s nice to feel like he can be himself. To not be looked at like damaged goods. Emma means well, but she is a little overprotective with him, and he wants to assert that he is an adult - the older sibling - and he can deal with what life threw at him. He quirks a brow when Valentin snags his wrist to write on his hand. He gives a little giggle as he is ticklish, and he looks at the scrawled number to memorize it, in case it got erased. “Good. I hope it’ll be worth your time.”
