Ex-Mobster of the Underground

“Do I? And what’s the dog going to do about it, hm? Both you and your brother are leashed to very powerful creatures, but I digress~!” She walks to Habit, gently ( though it doesn’t look that way ) grabbing him by the arm and lifting him to his feet with ease. “It is time for the brothers to reconcile, I think. With Habit permanently out of the VOID and my being friends with both your pretty wife and most of the occupants in this household, you will be seeing more of each other. Your anger is both exhausting and boring, Corbbie.”

Regina dusts the snow from the orange-clad mobsters upper-half and once satisfied, turns to give Corbel her full attention. She continues to support Habit by her grip on his arm.

That growl within the skeleton’s throat seemed to vibrate his entire body with that light never dissipating from his eye socket. He wanted nothing to do with his brother and, clearly, it showed. HABIT was struggling himself though, he did get some help from Regina, his own eye sockets wide with tiny pinpricks of lights in them. The man was scared shitless at this point. He really, really didn’t want to be here.

The shorter skeleton was going to speak but, suddenly, the mere mention of his beloved, the light faded, leaving his eye sockets empty of all life. Wait...she could get Lucidia out of the Void? How?! That seemed near impossible! The only reason she got out the first time was because of Sprinkles. But this witch, she could as well? That only made him grit his teeth together in frustration of this. Would she really force Luci to stay in that dreadful place, all because he was being hostile towards his brother?

After a brief walk from Grillby’s, the pair finally arrive at the front of their intended destination, the skele’ household.

Using a bit of magic, the Witch manipulates a pile of snow to form a long rod and turn it into a solid, supportive structure to lean Habit against. She does so kindly, making sure he doesn’t fall over into the snow. Then, she moves to stand in front of him and brings a hand up to caress the side of his face. “I must ask that you endure what is about to happen, and– that I’m so, so sorry.” She whispers to him through quivering lips. Her words are genuine, and now emphasized by a single tear tumbling down her cheek. “I cannot control my rage toward the bastard that owns this house– and your brother. My intentions, Habit, when I pulled you from the VOID were pure, I only wanted to help you, but a thought crossed my mind– and because of it we’re now here.”

She takes a single step away from him before removing her coat and dropping her clever illusion, revealing the stitches, bruises and other wounds Lost, as Madman, left on her. A “drone” Shade appears briefly, its only purpose is to take away her now shedded coat.

Now that they were at the place she wanted to go, he had to shake his head before leaning on the long rod...of snow? That was some fancy magic he was seeing. Eye sockets were fully upon her face and, almost had flinched from the hand on the side of his face. Even if he still was drunk, he wasn’t used to that kind of close contact.

“Nnnghhh....w..whatcha goin’ on ‘bo-” His words slurred a bit as he tried to talk. Not his best really. Wait, did she mention his-?

HABIT immediately shook his head and stood up straight for just a moment till..he stumbled and grabbed onto the rod once more. Wait, she did say his brother’s name! Oh dear...with how fast that the skeleton was trying to sober up, he was fearing for his life. He had no time to even react to the fact that he saw all the wounds that Regina had. He was stumbling, struggling to make a run for it, but he only fell into the snow, just in time for a specific, stocky skeleton to pop outside the door.

The shorter skeleton wore a suit, similar to one that HABIT used to wear, but black with a blue tie and a blue strip around his hat. Before he would say anything, however, his eye sockets immediately went onto the monster that was struggling to stand. And the lights in his eyes vanished, one appearing with the bright, cyan blue color.

“......ya got alot of nerve bringin’ ‘im ‘ere...regina...” Corbel tried to say calmly, but with how tight his fists were in his coat pockets, he was tightly coiled and ready to lunge.

And it’s only beginning.

“I told you, sweetie~ This establishment has the best alcohol and service around.” She’s inwardly cackling, the Queen is obviously amused.

After finishing her meal, she places more than enough G to cover their meals, drink, tip and then some. Such entertainment has put Regina in a generous mood.

The mobster already finished his food and his drink and, slowly was starting to feel the drink already. Maybe he shouldn’t of drank it so fast. “Eh? A friend? Well, a’ight ‘en.”

You’re being cruel. Dangling happiness right in front of him only to yank it away at the last possible second… You’re becoming exactly what Mother wanted; her.

Her smile droops at the voice, she knows that voice… It belonged to an old part of her she thought died.

Lost doesn’t know any better as Madman. Habit and Corbel are being dragged unknowingly into your feud because you refuse-

Ignored. That voice should know better than to try talking sense to her. She’s angry, and rightfully so! Old Regina can get right the fuck out.

“Thanks Grillz.” HABIT spoke and took the glass in hand, already taking a swig with gusto. It definitely went down quite smooth and he grinned, already downing it like it was water. The fire man was glancing over at Regina with that ‘He don’t know, does he?’ look and, you could swear that he was showing a tell-tale grin, one that Grillby only showed to very few. But he went on his merry way, waiting for the chaos to ensue.

She’s having far too much fun, and no one can stop her~

“My choosin’? Yer much too kind, babe.” He grinned, glancing at the bartender with a chuckle,” The best scotch ya got, and whatever shes havin’!” Grillby paused with a mere nod and wrote down the order, quick to disappear into the back. The mobster seemed quite pleased with this.

She isn’t using the VOID as a means of travel, which is her most frequent method. For the moment, there’s no telling what would happen to Habit if they returned the VOID… No, until she has definitive answers they will jump timelines with the use of portals. It takes a bit more magic, but better safe than sorry.

She pulls the mobster safely through the portal and then wills it closed. The pair are standing directly in front of the aforementioned establishment—Grillby’s.

Her appearance has also changed with the use of Illusion Magic, taking on a Monster-like appearance; a shadow elemental. With Sprinkles paying frequent visits to this timeline, it’s best to keep herself disguised… he has yet to discover that she’s actually human.

“Come along before I turn into a Witch-sicle.” She jokes, while pulling him to the door and pushing it open.

Portals huh? He hadn’t seen those in a while but, preferred them than going back to the Void. So with his eye lights looking up at the building, he smirked. This definitely brought back fond memories, hanging out with his boys at the local joint. But instead of his boys, he had the company of the...witch?

That caught him off-guard a bit with the sudden, monster-like appearance she took, raising a ridged brow before shrugging his shoulders. He was quick to hurry inside.

The place was definitely warm, comforting, with the faint glow of the lights around, including that coming from the establishment owner himself. The fire elemental, Grillby, lifted his head towards the two while cleaning off a glass with a rag, waiting for them to sit before him at the counter.

He hadn’t drank since he quit while at Tempus’ tree.

Using a bit of magic, Regina levitates herself into the air and moves herself over his sleeping form. Slowly she descends to lay herself on top of him, straddling his lower-half with hers.

But what he hadn’t expected was to feel someone straddling him, making him grumble and stir a bit. No, he didn’t want to wake up yet. What kind of devil were you to try to wake a tired man?

“....a’ight a’ight, won’t do anythin’ to ya. that’ll be in poor taste, won’t it?” He agreed, at least, the sound of food and sleep was very tempting. How he really missed a bed, or even a good, home-cooked meal.

Unclasping her gloved hands, Regina quickly moves to close the gap between their forms and places those formerly clasped hands palm-down on his chest. “I know I can be unsettling at times, Habit, but know that I would never place you in any sort of danger-” I would be incapable of handling, she mentally adds.

One hand raises to his cheekbone, caressing it with the backside of her hand. “I take good care of those I watch over.”

Habit get’s a chance at redemption and she gets payback for his tactless comment about her title. There’s even the possibility of Lost getting a headache- skull-ache? Whatever. The point is she get’s to cause a little chaos at Habit’s expanse… Hopefully he learns the meaning of ‘Daughter of Chaos’.

But with how fast she was to close the gap between the two and now, he was staring down at her under the visor of his hat, he just had a bit of chills going down his spine. What was about this woman that wanted to deter him away, and yet, get closer to learn more about her? She must of been using magic to do something, for sure.
