I want to go back to brookyn and wander home with you.

I want to look out that window again. 

I want to feel your blanket on my skin.

I want to have the grass digging into my knees, and see the stars.

I want to fall into you on the sidewalk. 

I want to see the snow on the ground again for the first time. 

I can't believe Holiday Weekend is this weekend. It feels like a day ago that we were all at the Clarion together. I remember I was anxiously waiting to hear back from Syracuse to see whether I got in. You were so sure I would. And I did. And I love it here.

I wish we were back there at that hotel with all of our campers. Remember when we got to see Feef swim? She had just gotten her trach out. Remember the Himlets sleeping together in the same bed? Too cute. Or how about all the pizza we got? So much pizza.... Or how about when Emily shoved cake in my face? That was hilarious. I did learn my lesson to never smell a cake when someone asks "does this smell funny to you?"

But once the campers went to bed we had even more fun. It felt like a blizzard that night. We ran around the hotel trying to be as quiet as possible. We weren't. And later on Saturday night, well. You know what a great night I had. The entire weekend was amazing.

I wish you were going to be there. It won't be the same without you. But you taught me well. You taught me to give as much love and laughter to these kids as possible. I promise I'll do that. I'll always try to give as much love as you did.
