nagumo yoichi is the definition of clingy, in the best way possible. he’s like glue, refusing to let go—whether it’s during lazy mornings curled up in bed or late nights tangled in each other’s arms. his grip is tight enough to feel secure, but loose enough for you to breathe. on days he’s home from work, he’s your shadow, following you from room to room like a devoted puppy.

take breakfast for example. you’re trying to cook, frying eggs in the pan, when he wraps his arms around you from behind, refusing to let go.

“yoichi, i’m trying to cook.” you say, half-exasperated, silently begging him to release you.

“i can take over if you want.” he offers, pulling you even closer.

“i want you to let go of me for a second.” you retort, though you know it’s pointless.

“not happening. that’s like telling me to die.”

there are also times during his pranks where he pulls a stunt. he’s on the floor, faking a collapse. you rush over, only to realize it’s another prank. a slap to his arm earns you a whine, followed by a plea for a kiss to ‘heal’ him. of course, you give in—you always do.

nagumo yoichi’s love language is basically everything. he showers you with gifts, filling an entire room in your penthouse with things he’s picked out just for you. some days, it’s overwhelming, especially when you’re not sure how to use half of it.

nagumo only wants to see you in clothes that he either bought for you or from his own closet. he has a habit of ‘upgrading’ your wardrobe, discreetly replacing your old clothes with new ones from his closet. you might not even notice until you go to reach for something and realize it’s gone.

loveloveLOVEEE gift-giving! he buys you something every. single. day., no matter how big or small. physical touch is his comfort. he thrives on holding you close, whether it’s cuddling in bed or stealing kisses when you pass by. quality time is non-negotiable for him. the moment you’re apart for work, he’s daydreaming about you, and sometimes he can’t help but gush to his colleagues about how lucky he is to have met someone like you. (they all know your entire love story by now.)

words of affirmation? l-l-l-loveeee it. every conversation starts and ends with a compliment. in his eyes, you’re flawless—his angel, his everything. acts of service? he insists on taking care of you, even when you insist on your independence. wake up to breakfast in bed? check. a spotless house? also check.

of course, there are moments of worry. his job is dangerous, and it’s only natural to fear for his safety. you’ve cried to him about it before, and he always responds the same way: with kisses and gentle words, wiping away your tears and assuring you that no one compares to him.

dating shin asakura means being mindful of every thought that crosses your mind—because he will hear it. he enjoys reading your mind more than anyone else’s, and to be honest, it makes sense. you’re his girlfriend, so of course he wants to know what’s going on in that head of yours. but it’s not just that. he’s genuinely curious about everything you think about. but it’s not something he can control. he can’t just turn it off when he wants to. and even though you’re fully aware he’s listening, it doesn’t bother you in the slightest.

in fact, you love teasing him with little jokes just to see him flustered.

“so you are reading my mind!” you tease.

his cheeks flush crimson as he frowns, looking away. “i always do—but you didn’t need to say that joke!”

shin knows you too well. the second your eyes linger on something—a plushie, a makeup product, a piece of clothing—he knows you want it. and by ‘want it’, he means he’s already mentally preparing to buy it for you. there’s always something new in your room, all thanks to shin.

on days when a dangerous mission comes up—whether it’s taking down a slur or tracking down a lead—shin begs sakamoto to leave you behind and bring lu instead. your safety is his only priority.

“hey! you’d rather have me die instead?!” lu shouts, heisuke barely managing to hold her back from lunging at shin.

“yeah? i don’t want [first name] to get hurt!” shin fires back.

you can’t help but sweat-drop at their back-and-forth bickering. “no one’s going to die,” you say, shaking your head. “not unless you fail to protect us, shin.”

his breath hitches. oh no. now he’s convinced you don’t trust him to do his job. “actually, [first name] should come!” he quickly corrects, noticing the way you’re barely holding back a laugh while sweeping the floor. “lu, watch the store.”

you’re always wandering around the city, and it terrifies him. the only way he can find you is by jumping from rooftop to rooftop, listening to the thoughts of people passing by until he spots you.

“geez! at least watch your surroundings or someone might just grab you!” he snaps, grabbing your hand and pulling you back toward the store.

“i don’t mind,” you say with a shrug, and the look he gives you is pure horror. “because i know i’ve got a strong boyfriend who can save me.”

the second the words leave your mouth, his face flames red. he loves when you rely on him, when you praise him like that. he’ll act indifferent, rubbing the back of his neck and looking away, but deep down… there’s a full-blown celebration in his chest.

shin struggles to show affection, whether in public or private. he’s able to shout to the world, “[first name] is my girlfriend!” while holding your hand, but kissing you? that’s a different story. the mere image of you leaning in, eyes closed, sends a weird, fluttery feeling through him. that’s why you take matters into your own hands—literally. you kiss him without warning, whenever the mood strikes.

“gah! at least give me a heads up?!” he yelps, stumbling back with his face as red as a tomato.

you giggle, licking your lips. “why should i? by now, we could be making out, but too bad you’re afraid of a little peck.”

“i’m not afraid,” he insists, though his flustered stutter betrays him. “i’m just… caught off guard!”

you roll your eyes and yank him closer by his shirt collar, pulling him back in for another kiss. your mind goes completely blank in that moment, leaving shin to either listen to his own racing thoughts or the distant chatter of people passing by the convenience store. when you finally pull back, locking eyes with him, he can’t meet your gaze—his eyes dart everywhere in the store, anywhere but at you.

“from now on, i want a kiss from you every day.” you declare, and he can’t even argue. even if he wanted to, he wouldn’t dare refuse you. over time, he grows more comfortable with it—so much so that he starts initiating kisses himself.

“ewwww! take this somewhere else!” lu gags, covering her eyes.

಄ gaku

dating gaku would mean experiencing subtle moments of affection. he isn’t one to flaunt his relationship or make grand gestures in public/around acquaintances. to outsiders, you might seem like just friends, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. his love isn’t loud—it’s quiet, more personal, and deeply meaningful. the most you’ll get in public is the soft touch of interlocking pinkies. his hands are usually tucked into his hoodie pocket, but he always keeps you within sight for your safety.

private moments are where his commitment shines. he enjoys when you watch him train, feeling a surge of motivation to push himself harder. sometimes, you’ll even join in, acting as a weight as he lifts you like a dumbbell—though he’s long since mastered carrying your weight effortlessly.

gaku has a habit of sneaking into your room when the base is still asleep, slipping under your covers with barely a sound. the shift of his body is enough to stir you awake, and he freezes the moment he realizes he’s woken you.

jealousy flickers in him the moment another guy gets too close, even if it’s just to ask for directions. he won’t hesitate to step in, cutting off the conversation before it begins. at times, he’ll even give the guy the wrong directions, just to keep them away from you. he’s possessive, but only because you’re his.

date nights with gaku are simple yet deeply bonding. they’re spent riding bicycles through the city at night, perching atop an old abandoned building to watch the sunset—or sometimes fireworks, and/or taking a dip in a secluded pond. there’s no need for extravagance.

on scorching days, when the heat is unbearable, you’ll spot a popsicle stand and crave something cool. with stolen coins, gaku will buy two popsicles, but in the end, he’ll hand you his, refusing to eat it himself just to see you stay refreshed.

in battle, his focus is unwavering—until he senses you. you’re his only weakness, the one person he lets his guard down for, aside from those he grew up with in al-kamar. if you’re ever struggling against an opponent and he’s nearby, he’ll abandon his own fight just to save you. he’s always there when it matters most.

despite uzuki kei assigning kashima to tend to his injuries, gaku refuses to let him bandage his wounds. kashima can run scans, but the tender care of wrapping your hands around his injuries? that’s reserved for you. he trusts your touch above all others, knowing your soothing presence is the only thing he needs.

being with gaku means everything. it means going everywhere together, sharing every moment, no matter where life takes you. whether you’re alive or on the brink of the end, as long as he’s by your side in your final moments, that’s all you’ll ever need.

಄ heisuke mashimo

dating heisuke mashimo means embracing the joy of being unapologetically silly together. he used to worry about how he came across, but ever since you shared the phrase “to be cringe is to be free”, he’s fully accepted his true self around you.

you’re more than just his partner—you’re his best friend. there’s no holding back between you two. he shares everything with you, from the smallest details of his day to the weirdest things he notices on the street. it’s sweet how much he loves keeping you updated, even with the tiniest moments.

heisuke is always sending you memes, videos, or gifs that make him laugh. if something cracks him up, you’re getting it too, instantly.

money isn’t always easy for him, but he tries to get you a little gift every week. sometimes he overthinks his choices, even asking his pet bird, piisuke, for advice. 

“piisuke, which one do you think [first name] would like more?” 

the bird pecks at one, and heisuke takes it as the final answer.

“thanks! i knew i could count on you!”

you two just click—your humor, your energy, everything matches. he could swear you’re his soulmate, and to be fair, he’s not wrong. you are practically his soulmate. (cupid did his big one.)

movie nights are either horror or action because sad films are off the table—meaning, you both simply can’t handle them together. he pretends to be the brave one during the horror movie jump scares, but he usually ends up jumping into your arms instead.

heisuke also makes sure you know how to handle a gun, just in case he’s not around or isn’t able to detect where you are. 

piisuke isn’t completely happy about being the third wheel all the time, so you and heisuke decided to adopt another bird of the same breed to give him company. now it’s a full-on double date everywhere you go.

arcade and carnival games are all about competition. if you’re on the same team, everyone dies from you two. if you’re rivals? it’s an all-out battle—one where you usually win by a landslide and heisuke is the sore loser.

at night, you two sprawl out, chatting or debating about random topics until your voices fade and sleep takes over. sometimes, you wake up to heisuke sleep-talking or even sleep-fighting. it’s amusing to look at. you record it and show him in the morning.

“i ducked that fade? i would never! sleep fights don’t count.” he insists, taking a loud sip of his cold water.

“but what if you won?” you ask, placing your phone down on the counter.

“then they do.” he says, and you roll your eyes.

಄ seba natsuki

your boyfriend, natsuki seba, has a habit of nibbling on your skin or pinching your body absentmindedly. at first, it made you question what exactly went on in that head of his, but over time, you grew so used to it that you started doing it back. he does it constantly, telling you it’s like touching ‘mochi’—which… still makes you raise an eyebrow in confusion.

when it comes to gift-giving, he’s not a fan of store-bought presents. he believes that if he can make something himself, there’s no reason to let a machine or some random worker craft it for you. every gift he gives is made with 100% love, his time, and his effort. 

he truly believes that actions speak louder than words, and he would rather show up during your tough times, listen to you vent, and prove his care through his presence than say something as simple as “i love you.” the words feel too bitter on his tongue anyway.

natsuki seba keeps a picture of your face tucked inside a necklace, wearing it everywhere—even during missions. he wants you with him, even if it’s just symbolically. that necklace is his treasure + his most prized possession.

he doesn’t like admitting it out loud, but he gets jealous when he sees you smiling or talking to another guy. he doesn’t make a scene; he just walks up behind you, pulls you a little closer, and rests his hand on your waist—that’s his silent way of marking his territory.

he also loves when you two do nightly routines together, like putting face masks on each other. it’s adorable, though he would never outright say it. instead, he’ll bring it up every few days, asking, “are we doing face masks tonight?” with the slightesttttt bit of hope in his voice.

natsuki seba doesn’t even realize how much he rambles about you until mafuyu calls him out on it.

“natsu,” mafuyu says, blinking at him with a sweat-drop, “all you’ve been talking about was [first name]… i just wanted to know how your day has been so far 😭😷”

“oh,” natsuki blinks back, caught off guard. “i spent my entire morning thinking about what [first name] was doing. i’m heading back to her place tonight so we can—”

and just like that, he’s right back to talking about you. poor mafuyu can’t dig his way back out.

natsuki seba also tries to learn the hobbies you love the most so you can enjoy them together. he does it in secret, refusing to reveal it until he’s sure he’s mastered it—whether it’s drawing, crocheting, playing an instrument, or baking. he puts so much effort into it, all for you.

his entire phone is filled with pictures of you—well, mostly pictures of you, with a few exceptions being his weapon creations mixed in. your face is his wallpaper, his widgets feature you, his profile pictures are you, and his only pinned contact is… well… you. at this point, he might as well get a pillow with your face on it to sleep with every night.

dates every week are non-negotiable. he’ll make time just to see you, ditching a mission last-minute the second you call him, telling him you found a cute place to hang out. yes, he gets in trouble for it. no, he doesn’t care. why should he risk his life on a mission when he could be spending it with you?

಄ tenkyu (a little rushed and MIGHT be ooc...)

dating tenkyu would mean receiving relentless affection from him—kisses everywhere and all the time. he would peck your neck, your forehead, your cheeks, your arms, your legs—literally everywhere. his excuse (after planting a fat kiss on your lips) was because he had not seen you for ‘ages’ (even if it’s only been two days).

he’s unapologetically into pda, gripping your hand like you’re about to float away whenever you’re out in public and awkwardly kissing you mid-transaction while the cashier tries their hardest not to stare. #guacward... you never complain though—you just let him be.

tenkyu has reached a level of comfort where he walks around unclothed like it’s nothing, and you’ve accepted it as normal. but then there are those rare moments when he does decide to be ‘modest’—by which he means pulling on a pair of pants but still leaving his chest bare. his excuse this time would be:

“it’s too hot.”

whenever you’re baking—whether it’s cookies or a simple cake—he’ll casually stroll by, dip his finger into the batter, and take a taste. when you warn him about salmonella, he just shrugs and does it again.

“worth it.” he would say with a smirk.

he’ll try to test your jealousy by talking to other girls, but you never rise to the bait. you know he’s just trying to provoke a reaction, hoping you’ll pull him closer to stake your claim. but when you don’t, he gets a little sad—just for a moment—before brushing it off.

tenkyu never takes off his eye patch, but he doesn’t mind if you see his other eye. he almost never removes it, and when he does, the eye beneath is always shut. still, you love seeing both of his eyes, even giving him a soft kiss on his closed one where the patch usually sits.

dates with him are either spent mastering some weapon or going out for (bad) karaoke. he’s not the best singer, but he pours his heart into it, and watching him fail to hit a high note is hilarious. still, it’s all for fun.

you never judge him for his past or where he came from. you don’t pry into his history unless he brings it up himself, because you know it’s a sensitive topic for him. but when he does share stories about growing up in al-kamar, you listen, and he feels safe enough to open up.

tenkyu is a rare gem—someone who doesn’t let others in that easily, but who has given his whole heart to you. in a world where everyone else is gone, you’re all he needs. and he’s going to hold onto you tight. just as tight as you hold onto him.
