I think this is about gi huns mindset in this game, like he knows what will happen, but more importantly he knows people will die. When he let the x die in s2 , it wasn't like him, but he realised that people will die anyway.

 ‘There's certainty in what we've heard’ this means he knows the nature of people. He knew that i will attack because this has happened before. He knows people's mentality by now (by the end of the song) and in order to plan strategically he expects it. The memories have been engraved in his head to the point it completely changed him from who he was in s1. He knows what terrible things people are capable of, things that s1 gi hun would never expect anyone to be evil enough to do.

‘Pray for day and night to come’ I guess he waits for the night (metaphorically the “day") to come where he can finally defeat the game master, not just in the second game but for the two years after the first game. 

Extra, the little beat of the music getting faster in the song instantly INSTANTLY made me think of the music that plays when the piggy bank is lowered.
