I’ve loved this band for years, I’ve met the band, I’ve spent thousands of dollars on them and have made stacks of fanart even when it physically hurt me to draw.

I’m honestly so disappointed in the Sparks fandom right now. Not cause of the people who commented on the band’s posts on the ai usage, but the people who think that somehow holding a management team accountable means you’re “harassing and villainizing” those involved.

I alongside my best friend, are neurodivergent and artists. I myself am physically disabled. I can never get a proper job because of this. Therefore, art is my only source of income. We have every right and reason to bring this to light, as much as I’m sure some of you guys hate the concept of holding your favorite band accountable and being critical. There’s people who think we were harassing the artist, when that’s not even remotely true. Everyone, as frustrated as we were, were very respectful and trying to explain why we believed in what we saw. Sparks kept dodging the question and hiding comments, this felt like damage control. When the artist eventually came to light, we made sure to educate both sides on how this could’ve happened, and explained how the stock art was in fact, ai.
