I agree, that Tomi is disingenuous. She's white, so that's built into her DNA 🤷🏿♂️
However, I find fault in the notion that burning down resources (as limited & non-Black controlled as they admittedly are) is an effective means of protest.
The question becomes, what next? The next day after the protest, when that white or Asian or Arab corner store or laundromat is a smoldering husk, where are we gonna get food from for our children?
We can't go to the white stores in the areas that Tomi lives in. And it's not like we're gonna replace those burnt down stores with stores of our own.
So what's the alternative? 🤔
Meanwhile, when white people engage in domestic warfare (or even warfare in general), they march, drive, or even fly to their enemies destination & burn their enemies stuff down, & make sure to maintain a clear, safe distance from their own territories.
This is how good warfare is conducted. What Black folks end up doing, is akin to throwing a tantrum 😫😤 because we go right back to begging the same people we just protested against for assistance. It's not big picture thinking in the slightest.
Crackas don't fear us, because they don't perceive us as being a threat to them. And I'm not talking about some old "clutch your purse, lock you car door" nonsense. We've shown them time & time again, that they can attack us physically, economically, biologically, & psychologically, & more often than not, we're not gonna do them nothing.
Sure, a skirmish here & there, like the boat house fight in Alabama. But nothing widescale & systematic on our parts.
In order to defeat one's enemy, you must first learn from & about them. In 500yrs, Black people have failed to do that.
