Just months after the first big loss in my life, my mum, Stage Four came out, an album that centres around parental loss, the complex emotions around seeing someone's health slowly degrading and the grief that comes after it's all over. The lyrics are devastating, real and honest and helped me, and I'm sure so many others feel less alone. I dont think I could ever really explain how thankful I am to have this music to scream, shout and cry along to when I needed it most and seeing it played, in full, ten years later was an experience I will never forget. Music is so powerful and at the risk of sounding like a reyt hippy I am so grateful I exist in a world it does too
