THE BLACK SWORDSMAN

V laughed to himself. He did not realize that not everyone shared his parched sense of humor. It seems not everyone realized that humor of Infant Joy—a favorite of V’s when first meeting new people.

They moved as fast as vipers and squeezed his neck tighter than any pair of boa constrictors. Any word which was attempted to be spoken only came out as raspy coughs and caused unnecessary strain on his already tightening throat. Joseph felt the muscles in his neck twitch and he was nowhere near close to giving up this easily. Never would he tap out.

“(This keeps then I’ll be a goner! Caeser might have the strength in his thighs but I still have one secret weapon!)” Joseph took took (or rather tried) to take in a deep breath as he gently touched his finger tips to the muscular thighs. “(Just...a little...more..! Come on, Joseph!)” He spider-walked with his fingers and found the crevasse he was looking for.

In one swift motion the stuck his fingers inside and began to tickle them, moving them like he was burying his fingers in dirt. 

A plate of barren and spotless chicken wings sat underneath Maxi as he blindly dropped the final one to accompany its brethren. He wiped his mouth on the underside of the forearm and looked to Elio who had called his name. Thinking he did something wrong given their tone, he couldn’t help but slap on his nervous smile like a clown slapping on their makeup. 

“Y-yeah? Got somethin’ on yer mind there, El?” He hoped it wasn’t about the chicken wings. If it was then...he’d have to think about some way to fix this.

“You know i,t bro! I’ll get this education for the both of us! Once I get out of here we gotta go run, bro!” Joseph walked backwards as he cupped his hands around his mouth and yelled to Tidus. Even within his quite literal hand-made megaphone anyone would be able to see his cheeky grin.

Tidus was truly his bro, he was willing to drop him off and offered more support than his original group of friends. Joseph thought the world didn’t deserve to know the bundle of happiness known as Tidus. 

All the young Joseph wanted to do was skate down the stairs in the carboard box he had found laying around. It seemed fun and he could handle any accident that could come his way, and Charlotte was just too adamant about letting him do his own thing. 

“Ms. Charlotte, come one! What’s the worst that could happen? I’ve taken bigger and longer falls than this! Besides, I have a helmet with me so there shouldn’t be any worries!” He gestured to the helmet in the box which was sitting like the crown of a noble ruler atop the plushest of pillows.

"Look at me, Guido. We're not even eating Spaghetti--or spaghet or whatever. This another one of those dumb internet things, isn't it?" Guts looked at Guido as he began unpacking the groceries. It was funny, what Guido said, but there wasn't a chance in hell that he would laugh right now.

He turned his back and silently busted out laughing, only to return to his stone expression.

“BIRTHDAY?!?! Er....I mean Yeeeaaahh! Of course! How could I ever forget your birthday Yuuji, my old pal! I’ve got you a real doozy of a gift, you know!” On the surface Joseph was as confident as he could be as always, but deep down he was panicking. Was today really Yuuji’s birthday or was he just being messed with?

“(CRAP, I HOPE HE’S NOT JOKING! OTHERWISE HE’LL OPEN THE JOKE GIFT I GOT HIM!)” A bead of sweat ran from his temple down to his chin.

“H-here you go!” All he had to do now was sneak the gift and run his way home when no one was looking.

“How many times do I have to tell you that I don’t know how to make strawberry cake?! It’s not like I can just go off and ask someone random person ‘Hey! What’s your secret cake recipe?’ Guido, come on!” The truth is, he had only been telling Guido that he didn’t know how to make as he was planning it as a surprise. 

Regardless, this charade just had to keep up for a little while longer. She figured it was best to try and divert the conversation.

“How about some coffee?”
