firstly, for all things pertaining to the whole Visa/Mastercard situation you've definitely heard about by now, yellat.money has a whole list of phone numbers and petitions you can visit to annoy the shit out of both Mastercard and VISA and hopefully annoy them enough to change their idiotic policies around what they deem "illegal" purchases (the page looks like this)

next, there's some message templates and resources for action on two really terrible bills that have been introduced to the United States Government: KOSA and SCREEN.

KOSA (Kids Online Safety Act), if passed, would allow the government to have control over whatever it deems "unsafe for kids." but it's worth noting that the government doesn't really have any sort of consensus for what qualifies as being unsafe! so that can be very, VERY easily exploitable. and you know damn well what they'd use it for too if you've been paying attention.

SCREEN, on the other hand, if passed, would require people to verify their ages online in order to access content. Personal identifying information would have to be put into a databse. Your ID, your face, and even your SSN potentially, would have to be entered into an easily-hackable database, all for the sake of protecting kids from seeing *checks notes* homosexual activity. Yeah, we all know why this one's gonna get pushed.

lastly, for my UK folks, here's that petition for the government to repeal the Online Safety act. In short, it's another "save the kids" act just like the above. Another internet censorship act hiding behind the guise of "well, we said it's for the kids, so if you hate it YOU'RE actually the bad person!" and I'm sure that if you're legally allowed to sign this petition (as in you live in the UK) you've definitely heard about it already. So here's the petition:

i'm already so beyond tired of having to fight against people with all the power in the world to maintain the right to exist. but the day the desires of these shitheeled bastards stop being entertained, let alone ratified, is a day worth fighting for. if we can hold back a potential surveillance state from forming, we can do anything. annoy the fuck out of your local lawmakers and representatives. dont let them live this shit down.
