Coincidentally, a friend of mine who used to be in Lou Reed's band (I met him and his wife randomly when they played at a festival I worked at!) recently posted a memory video from a gig at the same venue (with Lou Reed), talking about how they had a really special night there, too, and how they had loads of laughs over the cushions being thrown. I guess Carl has already played on stages where Lou Reed had performed before, but I thought of him when I read that — how, much like Lou Reed and his band, they also have this magical memory now. I’m grateful it’s on camera because you can really feel it through the lens!
