Same LGBTQ people talking about "lgbtq youth needs to start listening to older people in their communities instead of getting into petty discourse" are the same people with minors DNI in their bio and who will call kids stupid for trying to have an opinion and will treat them like they have the intellect and knowledge of a biological snail trying to explain what effects marathons have on the human body. Which by the way, kids, like any other person, care about their opinions and thoughts being valued, so constantly devaluing them doesn't get them to listen to you, they just clutch their pearls tighter and also you made them feel like shit.
And before you say we should go to offline members-- A lot of them are fucking dead. Some of us are immigrants or children of immigrants so we don't know anyone in our area that share our lgbtq history. There are not openly trans, gay, bi, ace, aro etc people everywhere. There are not openly gender nonconforming people everywhere. Also, so many kids aren't allowed to go outside that much. And some of us have abusive parents who will beat us or scream at us or threaten us or kick us out if we even suggest that we are neutral on the LGBTQ community, let alone in support, wanting to learn more, or being a part of it.
Shut the fuck up about lgbtq kids if you're not willing to be kind, have basic fucking respect and help us. We are literally new to everything. Can you not be an asshole.
