Y’all “critical thinking” does not equal “criticism”.

I am very tired of saying positive things about characters and getting told I need to do some critical thinking (so that I’ll see the characters are actually bad). No. That’s not how that works. I already did some critical thinking and came to the conclusions that these characters are wonderful. Criticism or straight up character bashing is not more enlightened and is not how critical thinking works. “Critical thinking” is not “thinking about all the bad or problematic aspects of something.” It’s looking objectively at evidence, looking at context, recognizing and examining personal biases and assumptions, considering what assumptions and biases are being used in a given argument by other people, etc. Sometimes this process brings up criticisms, yes, but sometimes it also leads to the conclusion that something is actually good despite it being made out to be bad. 

This is huge. Sharing for my US friendos.

Hospitals like to hide these policies under a lot of successive links in obscure places, so if you don't see anything right away, keep looking! Get friends to help! Make it a scavenger hunt. A game where you're assassins sent to slit capitalism's throat

Anyone can be a misogynist whether or not they grew up as a woman and whether or not they are a woman now. Trans men and trans women both experience misogyny on top of transphobia, transmisogyny, and transandrophobia. This has to be a baseline understanding we all have.

A couple weeks ago my boyfriend (habitual sleeptalker) said in his sleep “thats crazyyyyyy” and I said “what’s crazy?” And he said “that you didn’t know that” and then turned over and did not elaborate. And I can’t stop thinking about it what didnt I know..

my sister is breaking up with her dogshit boyfriend who pressured her into agreeing to an open relationship and then closed the relationship back up again when he realized she had game and he didn't. and i messaged her like does it make you feel a little better to know that men will even do this shit to megan thee stallion and she was like yeah. if it can happen to her it can happen to anyone.
