I remember when I was recruited, I was suited up, booted

Next minute I was parachuting - aw come on who am I fooling’

I wasn’t cut out for this shit, why the hell’d they recruit me

I aint done nothin’ to deserve this - why are they finding me worthy

I hear grenades and bullets - it's the enemy shooting

I picked my gun up far from bulletproof my arms far from sturdy

My hands are shakey and I don’t know if my death will come early

But I’m a soldier and I will fight because my families supporting

I got so much to lose at home we need to win it out here

Keep fighting through the blood the sweat the pain the stains in the field

Keep marching strong together united we win as a team

Fight for freedom and rights and everything that comes in between

We’re soldiers and and we keep on pushing through the trenches of decayed.

IMAGINE waking up 8 times a night just to find yourself

To LITERALLY find yourself my brain aint got it’s famous health

Even though at times it’s tough i’ve got their back and they got mine

We’re standing proudly representing on the front line

It’s 5 o’clock in the morning I got no time to sleep

that’s wasted hours every week - with absolutely nothing gained

Would you say fuck it - i’ll pass out - i’ll rest my eyes

Or would you wake up with a motive and conceptualize?

Life’s for the living - we need to make it clear

That’s why we rest when we’re deceased it should be fact and not fear

I know it’s comfy and its cozy in your bed asleep

But we need to advance this world - we must contribute our piece

You ever wondered what the world will be like for our children

Give it some thought - the next time your staring at the ceiling

Breaking down or so it seems while inside this requiem for a dream

Inception messing with my brain and plotted up these schemes

What do you know about the fear of the night

Religion couldn’t save me, even the good lord has his doubts at hand
