i love love love how the music builds to feel so chaotic and scattered and hectic by the end which perfectly fits how scattered and almost desperate he sounds in the lyrics. the “i don’t want to talk about the way that it was” feels so emotionally impactful to me when feeling that build-up in the music

Trying to get out from behind that glass, spinning in circles, not being able to touch his partner, his partner falling off altogether, the quick embraces that are too fleeting, reaching out, feeling desperate, having to dance all on his own.
